I got banned once (during the Katrina thread, in fact) because they thought I was wtz. Which in hindsight is pretty fucking insulting.

Careful, you will summon him and then the board will be in for a world of hurt. He's basically un-moderate-able, and has been banned in some capacity from every board on which I've encountered him (more than just IC and the BoB), and it's NEVER his fault. Just ask him.

I have not caught up on this whole stupid ass thread (still on page 17), but I just want to say how much I enjoy being lectured to about biology from one of people who sit in the back row. So absolutely certain, and yet knows so little.

Some were just idiots, some were just assholes, and some... well, some had both qualities maxed out.

I have nothing positive to contribute to this thread, other than to say that the ZZL Politics board helped me with my "arguing with assholes/idiots on the internet" compulsion. So, I guess, well done for attracting so many of them?

I was alone in my friend group in my dislike for the Rat. Didn't care for Spanky's either, come to think of it. A curmudgeon from a young age.

Ah, yes, guacamole, enchiladas, and flan, so exotic and foreign they have to be explained. I loved the food at Fats, even if it wasn't especially spicy. I also miss the Flying Burrito.

Yep, among other things Jimmy is the guy who hired and trained me back in the summer of 1985. Haven't seen or talked to him in a very, very long time, but for a year or so I probably talked to him every single day.

I bet well over half my record, and later CD, collection came from Back Door Records. This thread makes me feel old. And I realize despite living in Chapel Hill for 8 years (84-92), I was largely unaware of how much was going on around me, and how much I'd later regret not having paid more...

And it only cost me approximately 48.4% of my already questionable sanity!

I've interacted with rand on half a dozen message boards (some Tar Heel related, some not) over many years, and he's been banned on basically all of them for unceasing personal attacks and bad faith arguments, and has zero self-awareness. He is like a noxious gas, displacing all the oxygen in...
