I'll second this and add that's it's actually not that far off topic. We'll be staying about halfway between Hendersonville and Brevard. As a fellow Parrothead, You probably already know that long time Coral Reefer percussionist Eric Darken started his music education at Brevard College.
Alone on a midnight passage
I can count all the falling stars
While the southern cross and the satellites
They remind me of where we are
Spinning around in circles
Living it day to day
And still twenty four hours maybe sixty good years
It's really not that long a stay
Not sure. Here's a link

We debating doing this or going to PARI over in Pisgah but they were already doing a special Leonids viewing on Saturday only and we wanted a more general celestial viewing experience
Anybody ever been to the Bare Dark Sky Observatory in Burnsville? My wife and our sons and their wife and fiancee are going Friday night as part of a weekend trek to the Asheville/Hendersonville area.
Breakfast at Hendough, an apple orchard visit, some shopping, and at least one or two...
Not just out at home, but a double play. Within an eyelash of a grand slam or a 2-run double or a sac fly at the very least and instead an 8-6-2u DP. Never seen anything like that!!
Same here. British and Scotch Irish on my mother's side and a good bit of German heritage and Cherokee on my father's side. He has a couple of uncles who still very clearly show visible signs of that heritage in their appearance.
Heck of a recovery by Varsho to keep it tied at 3 and a much needed quick inning from Gilbert. Suarez is starting to show signs of life at the plate which would be very nice for the Mariners going forward. Some hard hit balls the last couple of games with not much to show yet.
Highly impressive work by the Mariners pitching staff last night, especially considering they were coming off the 15 inning do or die game Friday night. To give up a lead-off home on the first pitch of the game and then only give up one more hit the rest of the way against a disciplined offense...
Same. I'd be fine with the Blue Jays, too but I'm hoping for a guaranteed first time WS winner and pulling for a Brewers/Mariners match up. ANYBODY but the Dodgers at this point
Those aren't white uniforms. Those were the Brewers cream colored alternates. Several other teams have used cream colored alternate uniforms at various times in recent years including the Braves, Phillies, and Giants to name a few.
