Picked up a WR with good size that seemed pretty comparable to the WR we just "lost." Seems like the loss/gain balanced out, though my analysis isn't based on much besides stats and size.

This season was quite poor, but saying 3-9 is the "best case" is unbelievably pessimistic. It isn't a stretch to believe that Petrino can deliver a functional offense, which should make a difference at the very least.

I know you meant PSU, but agreed that he is a good pickup. Seems like a speed DE to hopefully replace Tyler Thompson.

Gio Lopez to the transfer portal. Makes some sense, though I feel somewhat bad for him as the scheme last year did him no favors. Not saying he would have been awesome, but I think in the right system he can be above average. Seems like we are still pursuing a 2nd portal QB as well.

Seems like a near certainty that we will need to get multiple TEs in the portal, so hard to get too much up in arms over getting someone who is injury-prone (perhaps) as one of them.
