Can’t even bring myself to listen to stuff like that anymore. Hard for me to believe that anyone is actually buying what he’s selling at this point. Rest of the CFB world is just laughing at the situation.

I really don’t think that money would be a limiting factor if UNC does end up needing to hire a new coach. By all accounts we have a top 10ish NIL payroll this season. If we’re being honest, Hubert’s salary being relatively low is probably just a hometown discount because we’re not...
There’s still some runway for Hubert to salvage the season and his job. I will say this though: if we keep trending in this direction and end up being a fringe tournament team that fires the staff in March, I guarantee that won’t be something that scares off prospective new coaches.
Frankly...
Head coach ultimately owns the results. If some fans are fine with the results then that’s their prerogative. If they feel like the players aren’t giving enough effort then that’s on the coach to either get more out of the team, or to recruit players that will give better effort.
What gets me is that it seemed like the defense would actually be the calling card for this team. I guess we can quibble about scheme, switching, etc. but the team also just looks like they’re going through the motions and losing focus effort-wise for big chunks of every game for whatever reason.
Ah yeah my bad, look like he’s only making ~1.5x as much as the other top GMs. What a relief. That makes it feel so much better, thanks for correcting me.
Michael Lombardi getting paid 2x the salary of the next highest paid college GMs to put together this type of roster is an all time grift haha. I would do anything to give the big time boosters truth serum for their unfiltered take on how this whole thing has played out.
Pretty sure these midseason CBS brackets are trying to blend a team’s current actual resume with how they are expected to perform for the rest of the season based on predictive metrics, and then seeding from there. In other words, they aren’t just taking the current KenPom rankings and dividing...
A lot of them eat this shit up no doubt, but I think a big chunk of the more “toned down” conservatives that still vote for Trump just completely bury their heads in the sand when it comes to things like this. Not sure which is worse.
Sounds about right at this point based on the predictive metrics.
The good news is that our actual resume doesn’t have any bad losses and we still have several chances in front of us to notch some signature wins to bump up our seed line.
The portal process has played out about like I had expected. The fact that we presumably spent a ton of our NIL budget on the 40 man recruiting class (still extremely skeptical about that strategy) coupled with how poor the product on the field last season looked meant that we were never...
