This is the answer I can never get from my acquaintances (having a harder time calling them “friends”) on the Right. They say they don’t like Trump, but support most of his policies. When I press them on policy specifics…especially the ones who help the majority of Americans…crickets.

I work for a state agency in Richmond, and have a team of 18. 9 male, 9 female. 8 are black, 6 white, 4 Indian, so a pretty diverse team. When interviewing candidates I’ve never gotten any message from HR other than to hire the most qualified person.

Nah, the population numbers just aren’t there. At least DC (and certainly PR and a split California) have a larger population than some existing states.

Was just curious, so checked. If SoCal & NoCal became separate states, SoCal would be the #2 most populated state (behind only Texas), and NoCal would be #5. But Pubs love to show those maps with all the red, because…you know…sparsely populated masses of land should have equal representation...

DC, Puerto Rico, split California into NoCal & SoCal would likely add 6 Dem seats to the Senate.

My Dad was in grad school at UVa in 1984 and somehow between the Final 4 and school ending, he got our 1984 Final 4 team to sign a basketball for me. Waited until Christmas to give it to me, but pretty cool gift for a 10 year old.
