The key in November is the Senate. Obviously local & state races are important, and the House is almost a given at this point, but we need flips in 4-5 key red-leaning states to get Congress as a whole back with the good guys.

Certainly a possibility, but with polling being what it is, that would be required across multiple states & counties within those states, and I’m just not convinced that level of coordination could be pulled off…even with favorable courts. The GOP might be able to make (weak) arguments against...

The closer we get to November, and the more polling looks like it’ll be a complete bloodbath, the more I worry the GOP strategy won’t be about trying to hold onto as many seats as possible…it’ll be fabricating a reason to not have the elections at all.

As f’ed up as it sounds, anything that’s <2% Dem win in a red state, I’m expecting in some way/shape/form to be overturned…whether it’s at the state or federal level.

I’m rarely correct about projecting the right candidate, but I could support Kelly in 2028. Just don’t think he has the sparkle factor to energize the left as a whole.

Exactly. 8 months from now, when people are locking in their decision on who to vote for in the midterms, and nothing has improved/quite possibly gotten worse, what was said last night won’t matter.
