I think that in this case, it's less about money and more about getting to pretend to be a tough guy taking super macho actions. it lets him pretend his isn't a wimp who used a fake medical condition to run away from military service during Vietnam.

I don't think anyone here thinks "they know more about football than Bill Belichick". In fact, I think many here would explicitly say the opposite. But it doesn't take an engineer to know something's wrong when the building collapses. We've looked terrible in 3 games this year, beaten 3 bad...
