I think it was both, but more so on the effort. Normal effort wins that game by 15 despite the issues I had with our preparation/coaching. My wife works in student health- flu everywhere right now (she tells me as the game is ending)

@PTOHeel you don’t think so? They’ve certainly flummoxed us with their zone and have gotten basically all the shots and matchups they’ve wanted. They’re not as good as us and they’re missing a starter, but they’ve never even trailed

I mean, with Hubert it can be a year over year thing too where he’s yet to string 2 good seasons together in a row. But we also struggle to stack good performances imo. This year has (for the most part) been better outside the weeks where we played defense like a poorly coached high school team.

The highs are high with Hubert but the biggest issue has been consistency, winning today would do a lot to assuage concerns. Miami is a true bubble team, a nice quad 1 win following the Duke game would really help solidify a possible top 4 seed

That team was about 15-20 spots better in efficiency rankings at that time too, with a top 10 defense (as opposed to the current one outside the top 50 defensively). They also had beaten Duke at that time, Tennessee, at Pitt, At Clemson, neutral wins over Arkansas and Oklahoma,without a loss as...
