While I'm with everyone here in not getting too excited about TX, it's also true that the Trump/Vance politics of going after **legal immigrants** strikes me as really bad for Texas. There are surely a lot of Trump-leaning or Trump-curious Hispanics who know people with temporary protected status, or who have been paroled into the country, and for Vance to say that they are going to deport everyone regardless of status seems like it wouldn't play well.

An Allred victory seems unlikely, but not impossible.

Yep. They'll use all these right-wing pollsters and polling averages that show a very close race as "proof" that Dear Leader couldn't have lost an "honest" election, and that will be their excuse to try and steal the election. Hopefully Kamala wins by enough that it won't work, but the closer the election is the more likely it becomes that Republicans will move heaven and earth to steal it.
