"Kamala Harris' strategy for the 71-day sprint to the Nov. 5 election is built around a few key goals: Outwork Donald Trump, stay in the news, and campaign aggressively in states that could increase her paths to victory.

Why it matters: That's why the vice president is packing her campaign schedule this week, starting with a bus tour in southern Georgia. She'll also sit for her first interview as a presidential candidate and ramp up preparations for her Sept. 10 debate against Trump.

... Harris' late entry into the race has forced her team to set priorities, and Harris is calculating that her best move to counter Trump is to emphasize lofty ideals such as strength, decency, the rule of law and individual freedom.

People like Romney, Dubya and the rest of the Bushes, Pence, Dick and Liz Cheney need to step up and announce they are voting for Kamala Harris - it's not enough to be anti trump
 

"Fresh off a week of daily counterprogramming events and an effort to steal the spotlight from his new opponent, Donald Trump and his campaign are seeking to harness that pace in the lead-up to November — with plans to aggressively ramp up the former president’s schedule, hone his debate skills and cultivate a new ground-game strategy tied to the early voting states, sources familiar with the strategy shift told CNN.

The new approach is itself an acknowledgment that Trump’s campaign has struggled to adapt to the fast-changing political landscape after President Joe Biden ended his campaign less than four months before Election Day.

Trump’s schedule going forward will look a lot more like the past week — when the Republican nominee visited a different battleground each day — than the 20 months that preceded it. Through November, Trump is expected to hold “several events each week, if not daily,” one adviser said, while another predicted the former president will regularly visit two states in a day.

“Think Trump on steroids,” one said. “It’ll be all hands on deck.” ..."

Pretty sure the last time we saw Trump "on steroids" it was the 2020 disastrous debate with Biden where Biden finally spoke for a beleaguered nation:

In NC, GA, and PA, the democrats are really working red counties harder than I have ever seen it. Usually it was all just focus on the big cities and drive the base. But if you can get a couple hundred in various counties to come out that otherwise would have just felt despondent, that can make a difference.

I wonder to what extent the Harris campaign and/or democratic operatives are attempting to reach out to those folks to get an endorsement. Or do they want to stay away from those folks to avoid upsetting some of the dem base?
