I still remember when a couple of years ago there were conservatives on the old IC ZZLP who insisted that Haley was a viable alternative to Trump and that she would be a force in the presidential primaries. And I and a bunch of other posters kept pointing out that, given the makeup of the Trumper GOP base, there was no way that a darker-skinned daughter of Sikh immigrants whose birth name was Nimarata Randhawa would ever come close to winning the GOP nomination. And she never will. If she runs in 2028 she'll lose again to JD Vance or some other white male contender.
But she did so well after everyone else dropped out!

You do realize she emerged as the last person standing against Trump in the primaries right? After there were many people on the stage to start. She didn’t exactly fall flat on her face in the primary like Kamala 2020 or something.

DeSantis ran an awful campaign. Haley ran a good one.
Please. She was clobbered by Trump, and lost even her own home state by over twenty percentage points. She did not run a "good" campaign if winning was the goal. And nothing you said changed what I wrote. Given the makeup of the current GOP she is not going to get the GOP nomination in 2028 either.

She also lost the Nevada primary when Trump wasn't even on the ballot...she got 30% to "none of these" getting 69.4%.

Sounds like the Harris campaign agreed to an interview with Rogan, but he has to travel to her and it can only be an hour (he’s not going to do this).

Meanwhile, JD Vance is going on JRE tomorrow.

Feels like a missed opportunity to reach a massive audience.

Agree it’s a missed opportunity, Rogan would likely be fair to her and it’s essentially a free ad that’ll reach millions

Don't really agree with this personally. Kamala Harris would have to essentially give up an entire day of her campaign to go to Austin given the travel time, interview, etc. Also, if Rogan wanted to do the interview, he would just go to her.

I feel like JD Vance is also going to drop a line or two that are unforced errors, a gift to the Harris campaign, because he's maybe the worst retail politician I've ever seen.

Exactly - this is a power play by Rogan to make her come to him. Why would she give up that much time in the last week of the campaign? If this was 3 weeks ago, fine. Not now.

I agree that Vance is awful at retail politics, but I do think that DeSantis is right up there with him - his GOP primary campaign was comic in its bumbling, utterly inept and incompetent awfulness.

Yeah, makes sense.

Harris has a week left to travel to swing states and drum up support. It’s a great idea for her to waste basically a full day to sit in the studio of a guy who just jerked off Trump a couple days ago, to try to earn some support among a constituency that’s already Trump-dedicated.

Clueless again aren’t you Illithor…
