Buzzer beaters on huge shots down the stretch in the first two and a potential game-tying miss in the third. It’s been pretty fun.

There are 6 former Kentucky payers in this year’s NBA all-star game. Crazy.

Also crazy to see Jalen Johnson in the all-star game. Out of all the talented Duke freshmen over the years, he was not one of the more impressive ones. And he quit in the middle of the season, which raised some questions about his character.. He didn’t look impressive in his first couple years in the league, but he’s really come along.
He is having what I thought was to be Ben Simmons’ median season. Boy how I was wrong.

The blue team (old guys) ran out of gas in the final game, bummer. But the rest of the games were a total success IMO with very good energy and drama.
If the dunk contest doesn’t get bigger names, it’s never going to matter again. Needs to be moved out of the featured spot, and 3P needs to be the featured event. Some nice dunks for sure though.
NBC and the NBA moving the time up to just after lunch on the west coast is a terrible call for a Saturday. I’m guessing the ratings will reflect that. Most people who wanted to watch didn’t even know it was on.
Other than that, about as solid an all-star weekend as can be expected. It’s a low bar.

I believe they moved the games up in the day just because of the Olympics.
