La Guardia.Who is the current titleholder?
That would have been my selection. But he never got the Knicks to win anything.La Guardia.
He's the only reason I could pull for the Knicks. He deserves good things. If Mamdani can somehow get the Knicks to beat the Spurs, he will be NYC’s greatest mayor.
America’s Mayor, OF COURSE!Who is the current titleholder?
To be fair, they didn’t exist while he was mayor. That would have been my selection. But he never got the Knicks to win anything.
Actually the Knicks have been most successful in the playoffs as Brunson has become less ball dominant. Mike Brown has been successful running the offense through KAT (I know!) and getting the ball out of Brunson's hands, which has made both Brunson and KAT better.Show Brunson a crowd and see if someone else can beat you

Speaking of NBA Championships:
This is old, (2018) and I'm sure d00k may have somebody who has made it to the top of the basketball mountain other than Danny Ferry and Jeff Mullins (pre-K... pun intended), but here ya go. Just putting this out there for those still wringing their hands about K and Cryer getting all that "NBA talent" to play their one semester of college in Derm at Trinity College. And I quote:
"For the University of North Carolina, winning doesn't stop at the college level.
In the last 35 years, only 12 NBA championships have been won by teams that didn't have a former Tar Heel on the squad. UNC also produced eight players who are in the 2012 NBA Playoffs—two are still alive in the second round.
That's pretty impressive.
Through the entire history of the NBA, a total of 29 titles have been won by 14 former Tar Heels. According to Fox Sports Florida, that is the most by any college—above UCLA (26), Ohio State (25), San Francisco (25), Minnesota (18) and Kentucky (17).
Where is Duke on that list?
Despite Mike Krzyzewski producing the second-most NBA players in league history, former Duke players have only won two NBA championships—Danny Ferry in 2003 and Jeff Mullins in 1975 (before Coach K). That is every bit as shocking to me as the astounding number Carolina has won.
Even more impressive is that UNC products continue to produce NBA championships beyond their playing years. Including general managers and coaches, UNC has produced a total of 42 titles."
Too bad about that airport.La Guardia.
No way I’d pay the asking price. Probably. You may need to get yourself into the Garden for Game 3
I didn’t know Jack White ever played in the NBA. How does that even happen? That said, I looked him up, and he was on a two-way contract that year and was on the roster in only 17 games, none of which were in the playoffs. So he definitely does not count in that group.Jeez.
Shane Battier (twice): 2012, 2013 Heat
Kyrie Irving: 2016 Cavs
Dahntay Jones: 2016 Cavs
Quinn Cook: 2018 (GS), 2020 (Lakers)
Jack White: 2023 (Nuggets)
Jayson Tatum: 2024 (Celtics)
Long way to go...it seems like Carolina coaching might have been holding a few folks back.
24 ACC championship titles (only ACC tournament titles count per original ACC charter) for us
18 for UNC
I guess we just overachieved.![]()
