4.1 Earthquake in TN

I used to live in northwestern Tennessee. We got small earthquakes all the time. They felt like a heavy truck driving past on the road in front of our house. Worst damage we ever suffered was one time some camping gear fell off a shelf in the basement. I had to bend over, pick it up, and put it back on the shelf. I requested time off from work to recover from the psychic damage but my supervisor, who grew-up in the area, told to "man-up."

I lived in LA for ten years and that was what the earthquakes while I was there felt like. But then I would remember our residential street was two blocks long and heavy trucks were never speeding by there and then I would think to myself "oh yeah!"

Felt it in Asheville. My friends in Hendersonville and Etowah also felt it.

We had hail on Thursday. So floods, fire, hail, and now earthquakes.
I was in Hendersonville Tuesday through Fri 10 a.m.

Our China cabinet rattled and clinked for what seemed like no reason at 9 am. My brother said they felt it sway their house in Asheville.

As I was enjoying a coffee riverside at Tapoco Lodge, it makes you wonder if those TVA boys did a good job 100 years ago?

I live too far from the epicenter to have felt this earthquake, but a relative who lives near Asheville did. But I definitely felt the even stronger earthquake that hit Sparta, NC in 2020. That one shook our house for several seconds and rattled some things, but caused no damage.
