Hope none of our board denizens or your loved ones are caught in this Xmas Eve travel headache.

Worried this is some sort of hack/attack on their systems.

Thank goodness I flew on Sunday and won’t fly again until Saturday. Hopefully they get all this straightened out by then.

Flying is such a gd hassle now. My last 5 flights have either been delayed or cancelled and three were on American.

Delta Air Lines CEO Ed Bastian said the Trump administration's approach to regulation could be a "breath of fresh air."

Speaking to reporters ahead of Delta's investor day, Bastian noted that President-elect Donald Trump campaigned saying he would take a "fresh look" at regulation and bureaucracy

The U.S. Department of Transportation under Secretary Pete Buttigieg has issued a host of rules aimed at protecting consumers, some of which the airline industry has bristled at, including one this year that requires carriers to provide automatic cash refunds to travelers when an airline cancels a flight.

Bastian said the industry has seen a "level of overreach" over the past four years.

Looks like voters want more "gd hassle".

You conveniently left out the major increase in delayed flights. Regardless I dont trust the airlines or DOT to report correct numbers, but you feel free to keep suckling at the govt teet.

There is a way to accomplish improving the overall flying experience without having to overregulate it. I do agree that flying has become a stressing and unpleasant experience. Left to their own "good will" to manage it isn't the solution. The answer is to create transparency. Now there is almost zero transparency and like others I immediately default to a "they are lying to me" mentality. An immediate refund for a canceled flight is totally appropriate and should be the norm.

Dude,

"The U.S. Department of Transportation under Secretary Pete Buttigieg has issued a host of rules aimed at protecting consumers" and the airline CEOs are confident trump is going to make it easier to screw consumers. One side is literally trying to help you with your problem, and the other side is literally trying to make your problem worse.

The numbers are in the public record.

I understand the cognitive dissonance when someone votes for the Leopards Eating Faces party then the leopard eats their face.
