So, you think an 83 year-old white guy from Vermont with no base among black voters should be the Democratic standard-bearer?

He’s also easily tagged with the Marxist-Socialist label.
Trump's a gd Nazi and is acting like a gd Nazi.

Bernie would have had a split Congress and actually believes in the Rule of Law. It would have been fine.

I mean did you see (a) Trump's response to questions about whether Putin was disrespecting him after bombing Ukraine despite Trump's threat of sanctions and (b) Elon's response to Hannity (or whomever on Fox) when asked what it is like for Elon to run his businesses and Musk's statement that entitlements are next to be cut?
I did not but have no doubt they were incoherent in the clips and they looked like idiots.

Are you dense Duke? All the Democrats have to do is start hating all them queers and gays, and send them damn brown people back where they came from. Then they will have a chance!!!! /s
Every time I read Trumpers and self-proclaimed "independents" (snort), bosiders and centrists on here giving "advice" to Democrats on how to win more elections, their advice inevitably boils down to what you just posted. Basically, Democrats just need to give up on social and cultural liberalism, stop promoting diversity, abandon minority groups to their fate, and become more like Republicans. Then, maybe, just maybe, people like the person making the post might vote for them. Which is a lie, of course, as they'll continue to vote Republican - if you have a choice between GOP Lite and the real thing, why would you not choose the original? What these posters really want is two conservative parties and no liberal ones, and no one protecting the rights of LGBTQ people, whom they despise and want to drive back into the closet.

I agree with all of this. Sadly we may be at a point where racism homophobia and a desire to have Christianity be the national religion (makes me ill to think about it and I’m a Christian) rule the day.

May not win many elections like this though.
Focus on the economy and workers rights seems to be the best way forward. And maybe some hard facts about how little of the population these culture war boogeymen affect. It’s got to be short and catchy . I think it’s been proven if MAGAts have to think about it too much it’s a done deal.

I don’t think Zoo’s arguing that things wouldn’t be fine if Bernie were president. He’s saying that Bernie wouldn’t have a realistic chance of winning. And he’s right.
