Yeah far be it from me to second guess Pelosi, but this feels like a moment she should have looked the other way.
Hell, even for people who agree with her and Connelly politically over AOC, it’s a horrible look for Jeffries that Pelosi is still operating behind the scenes.

Someone in the party is going to have to step up and be a real leader. AOC’s visibility and popularity would’ve been a boon for the party, especially in the context of Oversight.

And when Trump realizes it, which will be when people start to get pissed (and that shit isn't far away) then their breakup will be made for Bravo
How many Scaramucis before the breakup? 10? 20? Does he make through 2025 unscathed?

GODMOTHERFUCKINGDAMMIT!!!!

IF THESE FUCKS DON'T DO THEIR JOBS MYSELF AND A FUCKTON OF OTHER GOVT EMPLOYEES WILL BE WITHOUT PAY RIGHT BEFORE THE HOLIDAYS!

WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK IS WRONG WITH THESE PIECES OF SHIT?!?!
I would think a required part of any federal government job at this point in time is a solid line of credit. Shutdowns are now a feature, not a bug, of federal government employment. I would highly recommend leaving federal employment if you do not have access to credit for these shutdowns.

“… Johnson has not outlined a backup plan, and multiple people familiar with the real-time conversations said the next step remains unclear, as leaders would need significant support from both parties — and Trump — to pass a funding extension.

If Congress doesn’t extend the deadline, most federal operations would shut down at 12:01 a.m. Saturday, though the effects of a shutdown wouldn’t fully kick in until Monday.

Trump has asked to keep certain measures Johnson supports, like aid for farmers and natural disaster survivors, but also demanded the House ditch items that Democrats negotiatied.

He has also requested that Republicans extend the suspension of the debt ceiling, a limit on how much the U.S. government can borrow, which is set to expire early in his new term next year. …”

So, I guess Trump is threatening to shut it down until Inauguration Day if he can?

And Trump wants to eliminate the debt ceiling now?

Well, for anyone who has been claiming that now we will see a Trump unfettered by the Deep State show us how the government should be run, like a business, here we are.

I'm not leaving a job I just started a month ago. The benefits far outweigh the negative shit that will go on but that still doesn't mean I'm happy about not being paid!

Oh I have enough credit to survive just fine it's just the shittery of the fuckers in Congress that have me irritated AF.

OK, fair enough. But you'll eventually be paid with back interest, correct?
I mean, it is a completely insane way for an employer to treat its employees, but you had to have known this was an inherent problem with any federal job in this day and age prior to taking the job. There are a lot of benefits of federal employment, but one of the big drawbacks is that you need to be prepared to go without a salary for three months -- on basically an annual basis. Consistency of a paycheck can no longer be guaranteed for federal employees.

That’s a feature and not a bug of GOP governance.

Welp, as I federal contractor I would be out of work and I wouldn't get any wages restored (unlike the feds). So yay me. Merry Christmas, y'all.
