“Whether it’s the million suffering in Palestine, Sudan, Congo, Afghanistan, and so many other countries around the world, these are the families being torn apart by ICE [Immigration & Customs Enforcement]. These are not distant issues, they are happening right now as I speak.”

Right at that point, Clayton High School Principal Melissa Moore Hubbard is caught on camera grabbing Hijaz by the arm, guiding her away from the microphone and ending the speech.

“I don’t really know why they would cut her off,” Clayton High School student Owen Ring said. “She was just saying what was happening. But it’s kind of crazy to me.“

I was TOTALLY anti-sellout in the 1980s but for $2 Billion? I would totally do that.

Springsteen sold his for between 500-550 million, Red Hot Chili Peppers just sold theirs for 300 million. Garth has sold
more records but not that much more… doubt he gets anywhere close to 2 billion.

Wonder how much fan demographics affect that. Is it possible that Garth's fans are more likely to buy more common items available by cheaper but more complicated ways because of age or technical sophistication. Seems unlikely to me but I wouldn't listen to him either.

God forbid that someone tells the truth about what's really happening in the world. Gotta keep this girl shut up so that MAGAs can keep living in their Fox News-inspired fantasy world.

I'm not a lawyer, but I do believe that the landmark Supreme Court case Tinker v. Des Moines might have something to say about schools "not being free speech zones." Students do have free speech rights unless the school can show that a student's free speech is disruptive to the school or classroom routine, and it would be hard to argue that a graduation speech is disruptive to the school day.
