There is no organized and armed body to fight against the US military. This isn't Afghanistan where the culture, language, backwoods paths, caves, and supply trains all favored the Taliban.
If a civil war breaks out the U.S. military will fracture. It won’t be ordinary citizens vs the military. It will be the military vs the military. However, even if it also came down to civilians, this country has more guns than people.

It's right up there with the US military has no peer and would never lose against a bunch of civilians.
Yeah, hence the qualifier that "a bunch of civilians" had massive advantages in Afghanistan, that they won't here. Also, you claim "if it was just civilians against military, the military would lose handily" is nonsensical; in no scenario is the entire citizenry aligned against the military. The US is effectively the North vs South, once again, except it's dispersed as rural/exburb vs urban.

Didn't realize you knew what qualifiers were:

"Certainly some of those civilians support Trump and certainly some of the military don't but if it was just civilians against military, the military would lose handily."

I guess Veronica would rather tax dollars go where biden was spending them.

Tell me zzl, which of these do you feel is a good use of your tax dollars:

Here is the list of USAID expenses:

This would certainly be a trump win right? Can't find the "atta boy trump thread". Guessing you guys didn't add to it while I was out of town.

In three previous years under Biden, USAID spent no money on condoms in the entire Middle East: A detailed federal report published last year said USAID did not provide or fund any condoms in the Middle East in the 2021, 2022 and 2023 fiscal years.

The report, noted by The Guardian on Tuesday, said the only Middle East contraceptives provided or funded by USAID during that three-year period went to the country of Jordan in fiscal 2023. This was “a small order of injectables and progestin-only contraceptive pills” totaling about $46,000.

Total worldwide USAID condom spending is far less than $50 million: In the 2023 fiscal year, USAID provided or funded a global total of about $7.1 million worth of male condoms and about $1.1 million worth of female condoms, overwhelmingly to countries in Africa, according to the federal report.

In other words, Leavitt was essentially claiming Tuesday that the Biden administration had decided to provide more than six times the 2023 worldwide value of condoms to a single tiny territory that has about 2.1 million people and that is in a region that usually does not receive condoms from the US.

The CIA Is About to Get a Trump Makeover

“… The CIA appeared to be the first intelligence agency to tell its employees that they can quit their jobs and receive about eight months of pay and benefits as part of Trump’s push to downsize the federal government. The offer last month made to most civilian federal agencies exempted some categories of federal workers, including those with national security roles.

… The agency is also freezing the hiring of job seekers already given a conditional offer, an aide to CIA Director John Ratcliffe said. Some are likely to be rescinded if the applicants don’t have the right background for the agency’s new goals, which also include Trump’s trade war and undermining China, the aide said.

A CIA spokeswoman said the move was part of an effort to “infuse the agency with renewed energy.”

In his confirmation hearing, Ratcliffe promised to launch more hard-edge spying operations and covert action, naming drug cartels and China as key adversaries. “To the brave CIA officers listening around the world, if all of that sounds like what you signed up for, then buckle up and get ready to make a difference,” he told lawmakers last month. “If it doesn’t then it’s time to find a new line of work.”

Trump’s CIA will have a greater focus on the Western Hemisphere, targeting countries not traditionally considered adversaries of the U.S., the aide said.

For example, the CIA will use espionage to give Trump extra leverage in his trade negotiations, potentially spying on Mexico’s government amid the ongoing trade spat, the aide said.

The CIA will also take on a significant role fighting Mexican drug cartels, the aide said, which Trump designated as terror groups on his first day in office. …”

This is so monumentally stupid. Spy craft isn’t something you study in college or learn about on your lunch hour watching YouTube videos.

The Trump “meritocracy” to replace CIA agents will probably be your score on Call of Duty 6.
