I saw Bloomberg just gave 50 million a few days ago to the Harris for pres campaign. Where is that money going this late in the game? What wouldn't have happened if he hadn't donated? How much of that money will likely roll-over to covering some future campaigning rather than the campaign for 2024?

Similar question applies to Mo Green running for Super of Pub Ed in NC, or other smaller local elections.

I don't think it affects much. Campaigns borrow money. They pay their vendors for October work after the campaign. Ultimately, of course, the money needs to be accounted for, but at this point, it's more like firming up the balance sheet to reassure creditors rather than spurring any new spending.

I suspect Kamala has been spending as much money as she can raise and/or borrow.

Also, the money might have been (probably was?) promised a while ago. Bloomberg is one rich dude, but that doesn't mean he has $50M in cash laying around to donate. So it might have taken him some time to free up cash. Also, they might not want to have announced it early. IIRC, the last FEC reporting day has passed, so maybe he was waiting until after that for whatever reason.

Point is, I don't think your $$ donations are going to do much at this stage of the election, but your $$ donations were never doing much on their own. A billion dollars raised is a lot.

And I very much doubt Bloomberg is throwing in $50M if it wouldn't make a difference.
