Before Drake Maye played his first down, only four former Tar Heel QBs had ever played a down in an NFL game as a QB : Scott Stankavage, TJ Yates, Mitch Trubisky, and Sam Howell.

Ronald Curry played numerous downs in the NFL, but never as a QB. Though he did throw four passes (trick plays). None completed.
