Agree, although CNN hasn't been nearly as bad as the NYT this cycle. I truly don't know what's happening at the Times.

It is illegal. Elder Abuse is a huge problem generally and there are already very stiff laws on the books. I do not know the particulars and penalties, but if these websites or political con groups can be identified, they should be prosecuted. The evidence CNN has shown is quite clear.
