It’s something I haven’t thought about but I’m allowed to do it — that’s not gonna help put this thing to bed.
 
While I have no doubt whatsoever the WSJ fact-checked this story to hell before publishing, I am wondering why we haven't seen the actual drawing/letter yet. I hope the WSJ does have a plan to keep this story alive over a lengthy period of time. Nothing wrong with that, and it's certainly in their best financial interest. But it seems like the image would leak out pretty soon. I'm surprised it hasn't already.
 
Maybe the picture is Trump's Damocles' Sword and Murdock is using it to maneuver Trump. Trump can't do any damage control until it's revealed and he can't reveal it without admitting it's real. Farfatched but...
 
Dead men tell no tales. The files might be fairly useless or the cases difficult to prove given this.

Horrible situation, since it is highly likely many prominent men are guilty of horrendois crimes and have walked thus far.

Reminder: JD Vance is a Yale educated lawyer, and likely knows full well that "I don't like the way the media entity chose to publish this story" is not a basis for filing a defamation lawsuit premised on the story being false.

Vance is basically saying out loud that this is a SLAPP suit (which is something Trump knows full well) - they don't actually think the story is false, they just want to chill the WSJ and other media entities from publishing anything in a way that could be detrimental to Trump's interests.

Yeah, that's the ticket. Poor Jeffy had a birthday coming up and none of the people Jeffy thought were his "friends" were coming to the party. So, Ghislaine, being a good girl, just completely fabricated the entire book so Jeffy could read and re-read it on his birthday and not spend the whole day in his room crying that none of his friends came over for his birthday party to play with him and his 13 year old living dolls.

Trump does not rule out pardon for Maxwell​

Trump was asked by ABC News Friday morning about the possibility of granting clemency for convicted Jeffrey Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell, who is being interviewed by Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche.

The president initially dodged the question.

"I can't talk about that now because, you know, it's a very sensitive interview going on," he said.

There’s simply no way that Trump pardons Maxwell, is there?

If you’re someone who things that Epstein is a major cause and you want everything involved exposed and everyone prosecuted, that would be the biggest step left to be taken in the wrong direction.

How in the world is this supposed to help Trump with his base?

I think you're vastly underestimating the give-a-fuck of his base. They're going to be elated when Maxwell says that he never did any nefarious things, and view the pardon as a sacrifice that he had to make in order to get her to expose the truth.

You are really overestimating the Trump base here. Sure, there may be a few QAnon truthing loons he loses (like that QAnon Shaman weirdo) but most of them are too far mentally dug in on Trump being the holy warrior saving the world to not find some way to reconcile this in their heads. They'll have Maxwell fill out some affidavit where she purposes to 'tell all" (including that Trump has never been within 100 miles of an underage girl) and claim they got "the truth."
