Or defending Trump’s ruining the economy!
Or being a serial sexual abuser (at the very least)?
Or cheating on his wife with a porn star?
Or sneaking into young girl’s dressing rooms?
Or stealing money from charities?
Or taking bribes from our country’s enemies?
Or defending the murder of American journalists?
Or trying to shut down news agencies for asking him legitimate questions?
Or stealing our nation’s secrets?

That seems unlikely to me. It seems more likely that Summers was pursuing a woman and wasn't doing too well and wanted the advice of a friend.

Epstein's advice didn't say anything like use your influence as a former President of Harvard to pressure her. It was mostly saying play it cool and don't be clingy. I just don't see how that tracks back to Summers should have known Epstein was boffing 16 year olds.

The importance of this story is right up there with a trans woman finishing in fifth place at a swimming meet. In other words, perfect for right wing cable news manufactured outrage.

Let’s compare this mistake of a Democratic backbencher to the all mistakes of the Republican Speaker of the House over the past few months. You really zero in on the important stuff, don’t you?

Not Maga and neither is Summers. You have to ask yourself why anonymous message board denizens want to accuse anyone who has ever emailed Epstein as definitely knowing of his crimes with very little evidence.

Not a good look, and as usual a mistake by a Democrat is treated as a cardinal offense while Republicans no longer have any standards at all applied to them. Nonetheless she and her staff need to do better if she plans to move up the political ladder someday.

I mentioned that Summers knew of the crimes because Summers was communicating with Epstein after he was found guilty in a court. Summers tacitly (at the very least) admits this as well.
His last email to Epstein was one day before he was arrested the second time.
iirc (and I often don’t), everyone was well aware of all child sex trafficking stuff by that time.
