Paul Weiss Chair's Emails To Epstein Include Apollo Info

"... Paul Weiss represented Apollo and Leon Black, then its CEO and chairman, in a fee dispute with Epstein in the late 2010s. During that period Epstein reached out to Karp personally on multiple occasions for information and requests related to the dispute, the files released over the weekend show.

In one email in April 2018, Epstein said, "leon said you had a copy of the stock sale [redacted] can you forward to me , ? thcx." In response, Karp said, "I don't have this from [redacted]. I believe our friend may have gotten it from M. But please don't let him know that I shared it. It is supposed to be strictly confidential."..."

Holy shit, Karp, WTAF?
Gee, I wonder how they got him to cave to the Trump admin, lol.

But this is a very weird dynamic, because Leon Black was one of Epstein's biggest clients and gave him like 150 million over the years. That was personal, not business IIRC but it's still bizarre that Leon was hanging with the guy his company was suing.

And if Leon actually told Epstein to ask his lawyer for the information, I'm not even sure what the ethics would be. Obviously at a minimum Karp would have needed to get Leon's approval, but the whole situation is fucked. There is no way that Leon didn't know Karp was involved with Epstein, given how deep Leon was, so he intentionally chose an attorney he knew to have a conflict. Then he triangulated his attorney in this weird relationship. I mean, there are a lot of WTAFs in this story.

Anyway you're right and I'm guessing there are a lot of Paul Weiss partners asking the same question with a few more letters added in there.

I am wondering if I should have a newfound respect for Epstein -- I mean, the guy built an unreal network and somehow had svengali like powers over important people. He was DEFINITELY the most successful pimp in human history

He was like a blend of Willie Dynamite, Frank Abagnale and Forrest Gump.

There is a strange absence of engagement by maga in this thread. Let the secret police murder in the streets and the floodgates of Dem and victim blaming open. Have Trump referenced 38000x in the files of the most notorious modern American pedophile and very little to be said.

Because they don’t care. But wait until Bill and Hilary take the stand and they will have plenty to say.

It's bizarre to me that these guys can't get laid on their own.
The one that surprised me is Bill Gates. I don't care how old or dorky you are, you're still rich as Croesus. I also wouldn't think Prince Andrew would have too much trouble.

But a lot of these guys are older, probably nerdy, and maybe not that famous outside of scientific or political circles. They could maybe pull the 40-year-old MILF but that doesn't have as much cache to young women be it 16-year-old or 21-year-old if that's what they're looking for.

I learned about a month ago that Frank Abagnale, The Catch Me if you Can guy, made it all up. Not like made up he was a pilot or a lawyer or a doctor and fooled a bunch of people to get free flights and work at a hospital. But he never did any of those things. It was all fabricated.

"Frank William Abagnale Jr. was born on April 27, 1948 in Bronxville, New York. He was one of four children born to Frank Abagnale Sr., a stationery business owner with a penchant for politics, and Paulette Abagnale."

I completely mistook the dangling end to this paragraph the first time I read it...

The article you linked certainly doesn't even imply it was all made up. In fact, it confirms the Pan Am story, the checks and the FBI part of his story.

Is there something else you read that said it was all fabricated?

It's the confidentiality they prized. Well, one of the prizes. None of Epstein's girls could talk, sue for child support, mess with the wives, etc.

You did not learn that he made it all up. You found an article ( why ? ) that quoted some people claiming that he made it up. How credible are those guys ?

This podcast goes into some depth. It's pretty well done. That's where I heard it and got engrossed.

This is the book the guy interviewed wrote. https://www.amazon.com/Greatest-Hoa...?dplnkId=a913e849-d9b8-4261-8a3b-be3d80e62980

Tldr, he was a very petty con man and woman stalker. He was in jail for much of the time he claimed he was out kiting 18,000 checks, deadheading on planes, being a doctor in Atlanta, and being a DA in New Orleans, and he never worked for the FBI helping them catch other criminals like the movie shows. He may have spoken to group once or twice.

Apparently, it wasn't as confidential as they thought. Guessing a hooker in Nevada would have been a hell of a lot more confidential.
