ESPN gone from YouTubeTV

If YTTV doesn't get everything fixed by Monday, it looks like it might be the Disney+ bundle for me. Looks like all UNC BB games are covered there (ESPN channels, ACCN, FS1, Fox, CW, and ABC).

I will say... I was never disappointed with my service from Hulu. I watched plenty of Avs games and every Duke basketball/football game (that I didn't attend). Their sports programming (I had the add-on package) was very good. (but fuck those fascist fucks)

Pirate types. I cannot tell you the name of the one I'm using but I'll check when I get home.
Just curious, i'm tempted more an more to go the pirate route since Disney/YT are doing this crap while also trying to cancel Kimmel, etc.

Losing the ease of recording via YTTV would stink.

I like YTTV too much to leave it, especially their DVR feature, but if they don't have the Disney affiliated channels like ESPN and ABC they are going to lose a lot of business. They would have to lower the price for good if Disney just says screw them and makes everyone subscribe to Hulu or one of the Disney+ and ESPN bundles. I'm going to subscribe to the ESPN and Disney+ one since it's only $19.99 a month and YTTV is going to give a $20 credit. Hopefully they will be able to work something out soon.

You do lose the ability to record and watch things later (I never used that much) and then losing local channels. We have to watch Wheel of fortune on Fox in Cincinnati (I think) lol

Disney and YTTV couldn't reach an agreement by today. That means all Disney channels, including ESPN channels and ABC are not available for YTTV users. YTTV says they will give users a $20 credit if it goes on for long. Meanwhile, time to sign up for the Hulu, Disney and ESPN bundle until they reach an agreement. Of course, this could be a way for Disney to force people to sign up for their service and their channels might never be back on YTTV.

I wanted to leave Disney/HULU live after the Kimmel incident, but I was aware this negotiation was coming and held off. Of course Disney jacked rates up beforehand which makes me extra salty. As soon as YTTV and Disney agree to terms I’m switching.

It's also a negotiating tactic to get more money from YoutubeTV. Losing ESPN in particularly is a big hit to its bottom line.

I love YTTV and don’t want to switch to Hulu and reward Disney for this power move. Really hope they fix this.
I was already pissed at Disney for not having the WWE premium events available for YTTV users through the ESPN app. But they have it for Hulu and just about every cable and satellite TV provider.

That sign on deal for one year $29.99 doesn’t seem so bad.
Cancel my YTTV (and still get it for the month of Nov. which I just paid for), sign up for Hulu Disney ESPN bundle for $29.99 until next November… and then reevaluate there and then.
By then the streaming rates may be up to where cable was, then may as well go back to cable - at least then I can watch the Braves games and any Carolina basketball I want….

I started here and read through this. After that it's a matter of finding a good app. I can help with that if you guys get this far. Just DM me.
Stremio with RealDebrid is supposed to be a fantastic option. There is a stremio subreddit with some great descriptions of what to do if you would like.

Yup, heading back to the days of cable, over pay for 1000 channels when you only need 5-10.

And the cost is quickly closing in on the pre-streaming cable cost.

One thing, YTTV does let you share, I'm currently using my BIL account, since I never really watch anything other than sports, so the package is not worth the cost for me.

I wonder where the Basketball game will be next Monday, on which service?
Yeah we share with my folks, so we each pay $50 a month.

I haven't tried it, but Sling has a day package where you get access for 24 hours for $5 and that gives you access to ESPN. That's probably what I'll end up doing.

Going the cord-cut pirate/streams approach, what apps or aggregator services are good for sports? Espn, acc network, Fox sports....
