Man alive, our board Trumpers sure have all gotten ā€œtoo busy to postā€ at the same exact time lately! Fortunately, I know juuust the way to get them ā€œun-busyā€:

HEY GUYS, COME QUICK, THERE WERE TRANSGENDER PEOPLE WITH PRONOUNS AND SHIT ON THE UNSECURED GROUP
TEXT THAT WAS REVEALING OUR MOST SENSITIVE NATIONAL SECURITY SECRETS AND WAR PLANS!

"I'm not too busy to post - I just don't live on this board like y'all do. I apologize for and regret nothing. Libs are such hypocrites and Hegseth did nothing wrong. Remember Hillary and her emails?? The whataboutisms just never end from the left. More textbook TDS all-around from the hypocrites on this board. The left and its media machine are hell-bent on destroying Trump and what he's trying to do for our country."

Can someone help me out with one aspect of the story? Goldberg has the text messages and has published at least some of them, correct?

Then what the fuck is Pete Hegseth doing denying it? Obviously they lie and lie shamelessly, but the guy has the fucking texts! I'm confused. Or maybe Hegseth is.
It worked for him in other scandals before and during his confirmation, so Hegseth went back to the well. He is trying to take advantage of the restraint Goldberg and The Atlantic showed by not publishing details they thought were or could be classified info to claim they do t have that info ā€” that is the needle Hegseth is trying to thread.

Nice job "whattabouting" in the sentence before accusing libs of "whataboutisms."

Yep, that was deliberate and is a parody poast of one of our particular MAGA posters here who is the self-appointed ZZL arbiter of 1) identifying whataboutisms 2) what constitutes hypocrisy and 3) which media sources are credible, and which are not.

Oceania is not at war with Eurasia. Oceania has never been at war with Eurasia. Oceania is at war with East Asia. Oceania has always been at war with East Asia.

Four top administration officials tell Axios they expect the controversy to die down and Waltz to remain. Four outside advisers concurred.

  • "We don't care what the media says," a Trump adviser said. "We can easily handle what would kill any other administration. This will blow over."
  • A senior White House official added: "Trump certainly wasn't pleased with this. But all this talk you see about Waltz not lasting is just way premature. There's a Washington feeding frenzy. And we all know that you don't give the mob what it wants."

Trump not planning to fire Waltz after national security text chain leak

National Security Adviser Mike Waltz has no plans to resign after The Atlantic's reporting of Signal security breach

ā€œā€¦A source close to the president told Fox News that Waltz's job is safe and that he is not on the chopping block.

Fox News is told Waltz has no plans to resign and is sticking to his schedule Tuesday. He will be talking to his Russian counterpart about a Black Sea ceasefire deal and has plans to speak to Trump as usual later Tuesday.

Waltz is also telling colleagues that he has never met or talked to the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, Jeffrey Goldberg, Fox News has learned.

ā€¦ It appears that Goldberg's number was added to a contact card by one of the Trump administration staffers, Fox News has learned. The chat had Cabinet officials plus some of those officials' staffers. ā€¦ā€

ā€”ā€”
Itā€™s ALWAYS the staffers.

Also funny is that the key issue for Waltz inside Trumpworld is how and why he had Goldbergā€™s contact info.

Like I said before, they DGAF.

None of this administrationā€™s actions have anything to do with bettering the USA.

Surely this doesn't actually surprise you. This is literally step 1 of crisis management in the Trump playbook - deny the story and attack it as fake news.

It's no doubt a mistake but one that can be corrected going forward. This is the ultimate inside Washington story. No one outside the beltway, other than Trump haters, cares.

I prefer to focus on the substance: this Administration is now taking decisive action against the Houthi rebels. The Biden Administration basically ceded to Iran the Red Sea shipping lanes. Trump is now hitting the rebels HARD and will re establish control of the Red Sea. Basically, 75% of the shipping traffic has been going around Africa to avoid the Suez canal - delaying shipments and driving up the cost of goods.

A net positive. Now, what did you say about those trans Tesla terrorists......

:ROFLMAO: Ah, the Will Cain defense.

LOLOLOLOLOL that was actually even better than I anticipated!

Look, whatā€™s a little fucking around with the boys and sharing top secret national security and military operations plans on unsecured text chain that is likely being monitored by the Kremlin?!? Who among us hasnā€™t endangered the lives of US military personnel on our group text with the boys, am I right?

ā€˜They are being treated like dogs': Families concerned over living conditions at Krome Detention Center

A video that has since gone viral shows people sleeping on the floor, and a man explains there is little to no food at Krome.

ā€œā€¦ In February, Telemundo 51 reported on a Ukrainian man who died in the hospital after allegedly falling ill at Krome and not receiving adequate care.

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said in a statement that while they canā€™t ā€œprovide population numbers due to operational and security concerns, some ICE facilities are experiencing temporary overcrowding due to recent increases in detention populations. We are actively implementing measures to manage capacity while maintaining compliance with federal standards and our commitment to humane treatment.ā€

To alleviate overcrowding concerns, ICE said they are transferring detainees to other facilities with available space, expediting case processing and working with local and state partners. ā€¦ā€

ā€œA Ukrainian woman says she finds herself alone in the United States after her husband fell ill and died in the custody of U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement (ICE) in west Miami-Dade County.

ā€¦The wife of 44-year-old Maksym Chernyak, who spoke to NBC6 on condition of anonymity, claims her husband did not suffer from any pre-existing medical condition. She alleges that he was not properly cared for at the Krome Detention Center when he started to feel sick.

Chernyak died on Feb. 20 at HCA Kendall Hospital in Miami while in ICE custody, according to the agency's website, which also notes that he was vomiting and having seizures. A doctor determined that the preliminary cause of death was a cerebral hemorrhage.

ā€¦ had been arrested on Jan. 26 and accused of domestic violence in Broward County, although his wife says police misunderstood what had happened because he did not speak English fluently. On Feb. 2, he was transferred to the Krome Detention Center in ICE custody.

The couple had left Ukraine in August of last year on humanitarian parole, hoping for a shot at the American dream. Chernyak was authorized to stay in the U.S. through Aug. 23, 2026. Now, photos of happy memories are what remain. ā€œ

I don't want mistreatment of people in detention......but come on. The guys is literally using a cell phone to record TikToks. Yes, people are having to lay on the floor, but one guy has a freaking sleep mask to block out the light and a pad to sleep on! Nobody there looks remotely close to being malnourished.

Anyone who thinks those conditions are so poor that there is reason for concern, has never actually spent time in or being processed in/out of jail.

Trump cock gobblers donā€™t care. Everyone sane realizes this is a massive security breach worthy of multiple firings. Utilizing a commercial phone app (that is known to be targeted by the Russians for hacking), using the app outside of a secure facility, setting the app to auto delete the messages in violation of record keeping laws, and including unknown/uncleared persons on the messages. As member of the military, masked men in black helicopters would have disappeared me in about 20 seconds if I fucked up this badly. These clowns should be so lucky as to only get fired.

I think Ramrouser is right that no one outside the beltway cares about this. Doesnā€™t mean that itā€™s not an embarrassment, but I donā€™t think it should be the focus. Keep your eyes on the ball because they want people to forget about the DOGE cuts.
