US soybean farmers - most of whom voted for Trump - are in dire shape due to his trade wars leading China to purchase soybeans elsewhere. And now many soybean farmers said they feel "betrayed" after Trump 2.0 agreed to help Argentina's strongman keep his economy afloat after his policies have wrecked Argentina's economy. "Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on social media on Wednesday that he and Trump spoke at length with Argentina president Javier Milei about plants to financially support Argentina to assist in its stabilization. The Treasury is negotiating with Argentina for a $20 billion swap line with Argentina’s central bank, Bessent said on X.com. As part of its effort to increase the flow of capital, Argentina also suspended its export taxes this week, including on soybeans."

Yet at the same time we're giving all this aid and assistance to them, Argentina has also been working to replace the US as a major soybean trading partner with China. They recently sold 10 cargoes of soybeans to China.

“The frustration is overwhelming,” the American Soybean Association (ASA) President Caleb Ragland said in a statement on Wednesday. “U.S. soybean prices are falling, harvest is underway, and farmers read headlines not about securing a trade agreement with China, but that the U.S. government is extending $200 billion in economic support to Argentina while that country drops its soybean export taxes to sell 20 shiploads of Argentine soybeans to China in just two days.” “The farm economy is suffering while our competitors supplant the United States in the biggest soybean import market in the world,” it concluded.

Looks like many American farmers have entered the FAFO stage in a big, big way.

Trump will pay them off.

Do farmers get their welfare in a government shutdown? I know Argentina does, but what about farmer handouts?

And yet most of them would vote for Trump for a fourth time in 2028 if they could, even as their profits completely dry up, just as they did in his first term. And if Trump isn't at the top of the ticket they'll still gladly vote for Vance or whomever the GOP puts up, and they'll likely vote Republican for the Senate and Governor's races in Ohio next year as well.

And I love the part where the former President of the Ohio Farmers Union admitted that many farmers are just waiting for Dear Leader to use government handouts to bail them out again, just like he did in his first term. Apparently government handouts and socialism are great when they're the ones on the receiving end. A bunch of hypocrites, imo, and it's very hard to feel any sympathy for them.

It might not even be handouts but literally the same tariff money we've already spent going right back to them. It's insane. Stealing from the taxpayers to pay back the farmers who literally voted to go bankrupt.

Another missed opportunity for the reporter.

“You say the frustration is overwhelming. How do you think Americans who opposed Trump feel hearing that when any one of them could have told you what the tariffs would do to your industry, but you voted for Trump anyway. And now those same taxpayers - who are also suffering from the results of tariffs and who may be losing their own jobs due to your support for Trump - have to foot the bill to prop up your dying business for a second time. Do you understand why people are becoming unsympathetic to your frustration, and can you blame them?”

MSNBC has an article out on how dissatisfied some young (under 30) Trump voters are, via interviewing 14 young Trump voters in a focus group. We've seen dozens of these kinds of articles before, and they always seem to have the same traits and features. All these articles really show is how wedded these people are to the Cult of Trump, even if they're the ones being hurt.

1) Most of these people insist on calling themselves independents, even though those who were old enough admitted that they also voted for Trump in 2020 and based on their beliefs they're clearly all hard-right Trumpers. One 21-year-old woman called herself an independent even though she admitted that she was a pro-life conservative voter.

2) They kept making statements about Trump and his policies that simply aren't true - "I think Trump cares about the working class" (lol), another "independent" said that Trump had "amended some of the wrongs" from the Biden administration, that Jimmy Kimmel deserved to be censored because his remarks about Kirk's murder were "too insensitive", "too soon", and so on, and that the problem with Democrats is that "They always feel like it has to be their way or it’s nothing at all.” (lol). About half of them seemed to have no problem with Kimmel being censored, although they also claimed to support free speech.

3) As in every other article like this, their dissatisfaction or "disappointment" in Trump is that he's not hurting the right people. They thought tariffs were a good idea but it's hurting them - "Elizabeth M., a 25-year-old Arizona independent, said that while she thinks Trump “cares about the working class” and that she does agree that something needs to be done to help Americans businesses compete with other countries, “the tariffs have been a little counterintuitive” because of their effect on consumers. She pointed to her husband’s experience as a car salesman and how new tariffs on car parts forced his company to change its pricing.“I believe with the reasoning behind them, I do think that something has to be done to compete with the other countries. I think it just should have been affecting, maybe the big businesses versus us as the consumers being affected by it,” she said." If Trump's policies were just hurting people and groups they don't like then they'd be fine with it, but since it's hurting them they'll complain, even though they still all support him.

4) None of them regretted voting for Trump, including the so-called independents. When asked to describe their opinion of Democrats, some key words were "hateful", "selfish", "crybabies", "lazy" "ignorant", "divisive" and so on. All of which describes Trump and his party perfectly, and makes a mockery of their claims to be independent or open-minded on politics. My favorite was a 23-year-old self-described independent who said that his problem with Democrats was that they were focused too much on “people who are trying to take advantage of welfare and more so immigrants" - which is straight Trumper and Fox News talk. These voters are all diehard Trumpers, plain and simple.

IMO, none of these people are going to vote for Democrats. Whether they admit it or not they're all Trump, MAGA, Republican voters and they'll never vote Democratic unless Democrats become Republicans, and even then they'd rationalize sticking with the "real thing."

Three of the hardest words for a man in this country to say are: "I Was Wrong".

That's it, they are just too proud or ignorant or something to admit that they were wrong.

Yup. The best we can hope for is that those low-propensity voters that turned out for Trump will just stop voting.

More racists, bigots and idiots who don't want to just admit they are racists, bigots and idiots.

Whenever I read these kinds of articles I wish that the reporter would just ask them "When is the last time you voted for a Democrat?". In most cases I expect an honest answer would be "I've never voted for one", although I'm sure they'd continue to insist "I'm an independent!"

Some smart ass on tic tok asked me when I'd ever voted for a republican. It was easy, before trump....

But, never again, unless there are some kind of seriously unforeseen cosmic switch in the next few decades.

That's a lot of pillows...

Mike Lindell vows to go 'door-to-door' begging because he doesn't have '300 cents

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell threatened to go "door-to-door" begging for money to file an appeal after a judge ruled that he and his company defamed voting machine manufacturer Smartmatic.

"This was the biggie. This was the $1.5 billion [lawsuit] against MyPillow and Mike Lindell," he explained. "What this means, everybody, is if this, if I don't appeal this, this would go to the jury trial, I don't know, year, two years for now, but they're saying, if I don't appeal, it's saying, yep, I'm guilty because I didn't appeal. And all the jury would then would decide, did Mike do this maliciously, and how much money I would owe."
