Our very own @altmin developed a way for users to get a notification when someone they follow posts. This bizarrely is not something the forum software does when you follow a user.
I’m sure that following users isn’t as big on our forum as others where there might be a notable person, like a sports reporter or national writer, worth following. But, since some people might follow users on here and then all of a sudden they are getting notifications about them, I just wanted to make that clear. It is enabled by default but can be disabled under preferences after clicking on your user avatar.
Just uncheck the box if you would not like to be alerted when someone you follow posts.
Second, I am going to take another crack at the super ignore function as I know it had a few glitches. Since I don’t super ignore anyone as a function of being a moderator, I’m not familiar with how it has problems functioning. I do know that one problem was if a user you super ignored posted and then others who were interacting with that person did so on a page with no one else posting, you could potentially land on a blank page.
Anyone else aware of any problems with the super ignore function? Any other glitches or problems on the forum?
