"When was it you seeked counsel? Not retained, seeked."
And yet

President Biden Smh GIF by PBS NewsHour

Does MarkWayne have his GED? Lauren does but it took three attempts IIRC (because after the failed third attempt in Colorado you get to take the test in small increments of the parts you fail to help you pass). She dropped out of HS to have a baby and got her GED a month or two before her 2020 GOP primary.

MarkWayne graduated from HS but that was in Oklahoma, so maybe a lot easier to do there. And it may not be any easier for pregnant dropouts in OK than CO, not an issue for MarkWayne.

“Was you let go in the middle of the night? Or was you let go in the middle of the day?”

I’ve posted similar quotes before. This guy has a worse grasp of grammar than the average 3rd grader, and I don’t think that is hyperbole.
He’s easily the dumbest extant member of congress.

I swear, Markwayne Mullin is a strong competitor for "stupidest member of Congress" and after Tuberville leaves, Mullin becomes a 1-seed I think. Especially with Rand Paul being less awful than usual.
Tommy Tubberville 1 (overall 1) vs. Katie Britt 4
Cindy Hyde Smith 2 vs. John Fetterman 3

Markwayne Mullin 1 vs. Mazie Horono 4
Marsha Blackburn 2 vs. Joni Ernst 3

Susan Collins 1 vs. Chuck Grassley 4
Deb Fischer 2 vs. Steve Daines 3

James Lankford 1 vs. Rand Paul 4
Ted Budd 2 vs. Ben Ray Lujan 3

I just seeded the Senate. It gets too complicated if you include the House.

Tuberville and Markwayne are on an inescapable collision course for all the marbles (of which they have none).

Thanks for the chuckle. I didn’t even catch that one. I think I was too busy struggling to understand what point he was trying to make. I didn’t listen long enough to find out, though.
It was never revealed. I think he was trying really hard to get her to say something incorrect. I suppose there could be some relevance to the timeline questions but it seemed to me that he just wanted to trick her into saying something wrong or even bully her into changing her timeline a bit.

Langford seems fairly intelligent to me and as far as Republicans go he seems reasonable at times.

Mullins is dumber than what I’d expect from someone named Markwayne.

My hunch is that he was trying to fluster/frustrate her into saying something wrong so that he could then accuse her of lying to Congress.

My hunch is that Markwayne and Jim Jordan think ANYONE can be a skilled interrogator……especially if they’re “plain-spoken.”

I probably dinged him unnecessarily for being a senator from Oklahoma and for his divinity degree. I'd be fine swapping him out for any of the other senators in the 2-4 line, but it actually started getting a bit difficult after 16. Senators, by and large, are considerably more educated than Representatives.

Lankford is SO FAR RIGHT he makes Lady G or Marco Rubio look moderate.

He did help usher the immigration bill that Trump killed in 2024 through the Senate…..that’s an example of how right-wing that immigration bill was.
