It’s pretty stunning to think about the number of people in Trump’s orbit, many of whom he’s been actively campaigning with, who have been credibly accused in the last few months of sexual conduct is that at least disturbing and inappropriate, and in many cases criminal. The cloud of people who surround that man is just rotten to the core.
I assuming you're implying the "stunning" but not "surprising" trope? At this point, I'd be genuinely "surprised" to learn there are elected GQP true believers who didn't use their office and status to cover up a closet filled with bones.

Spoiler Alert: That is not Diddy; it is Montel Williams

“… Snopes has covered rumors about Harris and Williams' relationship before, including verifying the same photographs of them at the 2001 event. In 2020, Williams said the following about Harris: "Kamala Harris and I briefly dated abouit 20 years ago when we were both single. So what? I have great respect for Sen. Harris. I have to wonder if the same stories about her dating history would have been written if she were a male candidate?" …”

(Harris and Williams were attending a red-carpet event in 2001 alongside the TV host's daughter, Ashley Williams. )

i get the frustration but the times is a for-profit enterprise. the fault in its fixation on trump/trump voters lies with "us". i'm sure those stories get a lot more clicks because it not only draws readers who empathize but also who ridicule. biden/harris folks just don't trigger the same reaction.

Imagine being so gd braindead that you’re convinced schools allow litter boxes in the bathroom for children …
And these people vote. That is what depresses me the most. Sure, Trump is a narcissistic, amoral idiot. I knew that before he descended his golden staircase. He is who he is. But damn, I was shocked (1) when people I used to somewhat respect fell in line behind him, and (2) how f'ing stupid some of our electorate is.

The hope, I think, is for Trump to lose so badly that the Pub establishment can push him aside, give lip service to the stupid wing of the party, and nominate someone who isn't bat shit crazy. That won't get us back all the way where we were because the stupid wing will still believe and demand Trumpian stupid shit, but it would move in a better direction. Either way, as a former Pub, I won't vote for them until there is a new generation of Pubs that are free of the eternal Trump stench.

“If God used these men, as well as a donkey to speak, what does He have in store for Trump?”

What, indeed?

Has there ever been a time where the stock market has been setting all time records a month out from the general election and the incumbent’s party hasn’t been a shoe-in for victory? I find it highly unlikely that anyone has dared to make an easily-disproved, counterfactual argument about the economy the way the GOP is doing this cycle.
