Bejesus what is this travisty of justice? Apparently par for the course in the West Virginia part of Percy Flowers NC.
 
The staid WSJ struggles to describe the madness of the New Apostolic Reform movement

“… Wallnau, 68 years old, is one of the most important figures in the New Apostolic Reformation, an influential movement in evangelical Christianity that blends direct experience of the Holy Spirit with a call to engage in politics as a form of “spiritual warfare.” He opposes abortion and same-sex marriage, but his main goal is to elevate Christians to greater influence to transform society.

Wallnau’s “Courage Tour” events, equal parts tent revival and political mobilization, are part of his strategy to help put Trump back in the White House. On a recent weekend, JD Vance, Trump’s running mate, appeared at a Wallnau event in the swing state of Pennsylvania.

Matthew Taylor, a scholar who tracks the New Apostolic Reformation, says that no evangelical leader did more than Wallnau to provide a theological rationale for religious conservatives to accept Trump. “Wallnau was already popular,” said Taylor, of the Maryland-based Institute for Islamic, Christian, and Jewish Studies. “But he became a mega evangelical celebrity through his endorsement of Trump and using his ideas to backstop Trump.”

Now, Taylor sees Wallnau as presenting a threat beyond his advocacy for a political candidate. “I would call Lance Wallnau a Christian supremacist,” Taylor says. “He wants Christians to be in charge of society and to tear down the wall of separation between church and state.”

… Wallnau understands politics as a battle between the forces of good and evil, and his preaching is often infused with an apocalyptic urgency. He teaches a course called “End Time Jesus” which he says will “awaken believers to the true manifestation of Jesus in these last days.”

Wallnau has said that “powers of darkness” are influencing the presidential election and has called Vice President Kamala Harris a “Jezebel spirit,” suggesting she has literally been influenced by demons.

Wallnau and other leaders in the New Apostolic Reformation often call for “spiritual warfare” to defeat political opponents they describe as influenced by demonic forces.

Wallnau said he understands that most people would find talk of demons to be bizarre, saying, “there’s no territory that’s more calculated to make us sound crazy.” But he said the reality of disembodied spirits is well-rooted in Christian theology. …”

I had never heard of Lance Wallnau before five minutes ago. But my general impression of his type that when he talks about the demons acting through other people, he is speaking of what he perceives as personal experience. I would not be at all surprised that he believes "demons" took control of Mark Robinson when he was posting on Nude Africa and when he paid for then girlfriend's abortion. And when his own actions, that others would think were ungodly by his own definition inevitably arise, such actions will inevitably be the result of times when "demons" temporarily gained the upper hand in his own life. For people like Wallnau, "demons" are not theological concept, but a personal "Get Out of Jail" card for past behavior that he embraced at the time of the conduct, but for financial reasons wishes to disavow now. This sort of flexible morals that allow forgiveness thee and thou, but not for "the Other" is absolutely one of the most despicable features on Evangelical Christianity.

Before I die, if I have any money left, I'm definitely hiring Virgil to find that special circle of hell where the Lance Wallnau types reside, and bring back some video of their suffering. I hear Virgil works cheap, though he probably charges for expenses and I'm not sure what forms of payment he accepts. Probably BTC.
 
Heard this exchange at the grocery store today between two workers:

A. Did you see that clip of all the water getting sucked out of the bay in Florida?
B. No. What happened.
A. Just like that. So much wind, all the water blew away
B. Tampa Bay?
A. I think so.
B. Wild. Did the water get back?
A. I think so.
B. How?
A. I think it comes back naturally.

I wanted to say, "it does come back naturally, because it's a bay" but I skipped it.
