“… The Bundibugyo strain has killed one person in the militant-controlled territory of Mambasa, which is some 100 miles from the outbreak’s epicenter in a gold-mining town of Mongbwalu. Mambasa is the stronghold of the Allied Democratic Forces, an Islamic State affiliate conducting an insurgency against Congolese and Ugandan troops.
Eastern Congo is rife with conflict and overrun with armed factions. But until now the Ebola epidemic has been confined to areas within government reach or controlled by a relatively well-organized rebel group called M23.
… After clearing up a lab backlog, the Health Ministry said recently that hundreds of patients who were previously believed to have contracted Ebola in fact hadn’t. As of Tuesday, Congo reported a revised figure of 274 living Ebola patients, rather than the 1,000-plus cases reported by officials before the recount.
In addition to 60 confirmed Ebola fatalities in Congo, another 229 deaths since March are thought to have been caused by the virus, but tests weren’t performed to confirm the cause, according to the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.…”

I have some kind of outbreak going on in my house. I woke up around 1:00 am Friday morning with violent projectiles coming from both ends. Didn't stop throwing up until about 6:00 am. Stayed in bed all day Friday and half the day Saturday. My stomach still feels a little queasy. Then my daughter starting throwing up last night around 9:30 and was up every hour until around 6:00 am this morning throwing up.
