No surprise at all - I thought as soon as this happened that Trump would be (loudly) blaming the "Harris/Biden" administration (and Governor Cooper) for not doing enough to help, and making up all kinds of bullshit charges, such as that Democrats are deliberately withholding relief from Republicans in western NC, and even crazier crap like the Democrats somehow controlling the weather and causing hurricanes to hit mostly Republican areas. This is who they are, and they take after their leader. If there is one thing Trump knows how to do well, it's to divide people and play on the resentments and fears and anger of his base.

Having said that, it's still infuriating to read his tweets and comments, especially given that massive amounts of aid ARE being sent to NC as rapidly as possible, and that the federal and state governments are trying to deal with what is likely the greatest natural disaster in the state's history. Here's a guy who clearly didn't give a shit when Puerto Rico was hammered by a hurricane, and who literally showed up for a quick PR stunt, threw some rolls of paper towels at desperate survivors, and then abruptly left. He didn't care about those people, and he doesn't care at all about the people of western NC. He just wants their votes, and is willing spread lies and perhaps even hamper recovery efforts with those lies. He's always been a terrible excuse for a human being, which is one reason why Evangelicals supporting him is such a joke.

Republicans really need to decide if Joe Biden is a mindless, hopelessly senile vegetable, or if he's a Darth Sidious type sitting in his secret underground weather-controlling machine bringing natural disasters into the lives of Real Americans while he cackles.

I think there have been studies how conspiracy theorists can hold opposing thoughts in their head at the same time. They are basically junkies and all that matters is they get the dopamine hit from their fear/anger centers.
