My son came home from Boone for the weekend. He said there is a very visible National Guard presence there now.

I hope the Guard does not have anything against the Snow Boarders weed

It's a genuine shame he owns his own social media platform. He can do or say whatever he wants there without consequences. There's no legal remedy for lying unless it is defamatory to an individual person.
Maybe, just maybe, allowing corrupt and bigoted multibillionaire plutocrats to buy up the largest and most popular social media websites and allowing them to post whatever they want isn't such a good idea. Twitter has literally become toxic and may be a larger source of misinformation now than Fox News or other right-wing "news" media sites like OAN or Newsmax.

Just the first few responses to this tweet are indicative of the problem …

How would this backfire? The election results are probably going to come down to turnout. Will the misinfo spur a few "undecideds" or potential non-voters off the couch?

I'm not sure it boosts the positive energy around Kamala, but could it boost anti-Kamala energy for people who've lost interest in Trump but are now angry at "the government"?

Nah, the conspiracy idiots were always going to vote for Trump.

Seems a bit ironic that the people who refuse to trust legitimate authorities and sources and question everything will then turn around and believe every single lie spread by unverifiable social media randos.
Right?! It's because they already have a position formed in their mind, and they will find and twist information any way they can to fit that end narrative.
