Airline ticket prices are interesting. I am surprised there are not more price controls in situations like this. Why is it Govt Business? Because landing fees totally fund FAA related huge grants for Airports. Essentially it is a tax on "users" and it totally enables Airlines to have such airports. When a member of Congress gets on tv and announces a 50-200, whatever million dollar Federal grant to an Airport expansion it is 100% landing "taxes"

I’m so XShitter illiterate that I had to Google around and figure out what “(blue check) fringe” is.
 


One of the things that really damaged McCrory before his first run for governor was that when he was mayor of CLT we had a major gas shortage and gouging event related to a hurricane in the gulf — which was entirely localized to Charlotte. He was totally absent/ineffective.
 
Not sure how well folks understand airline seat pricing. As planes fill up the remaining seats get really expensive. Just because the last seat on the plane sold for $2000 doesn't mean all the seats sold for $2000.

This is not price gouging, it's the airline's everyday business model, and precisely what happens when demand for seats goes up and planes start filling up.

Even in this debunking post, he claims that Mayorkas made an “irresponsible” statement about FEMA needing more funding was politicizing tragedy for “personal gain” which is nonsense. What personal gain????
