BurkeIn which county are you?
I’m talking about Trump and maga. People like that rep from Tennessee complaining about how Biden took his time with relief efforts just because their governor never asked for it in advance. That’s total bullshit and the Republicans are the ones trying to make political points out of this without actually doing anything. Biden and Governor Cooper and the Dems, who are actually in power and can do something about this event are the ones actually doing something about it. They will let their actions speak for themselves. If they’re to be making political points, it’s by their actions which is what should be done. Those others sitting on the sidelines talking their bullshit and trying to spin stories to score political points? They’re the ones I’m talking about - I hoped people would’ve picked up on that point.Wrong. It is necessary now, more than ever, for people in NC to understand who does, and who doesn't, have their backs. Trump did nothing about Isais for months. Let's see what Biden does for the people of NC.
Not happy with MAGA eh?Should be adequate time to provide voting access. Have no idea about how the response will go or voters react. No comprehension of what dealing with power outages in that terrain is like, or what sort of effect erosion and such will interfere. There's got to be a lot of specialization in dealing with much of that which isn't needed in flatter lands. What would a timely recovery even be?
A lesser side of me wants to stress that this is an act of God.
You’re correct.I’m talking about Trump and maga. You know me well enough to know just how happy I am.Not happy with MAGA eh?
Got it.I’m talking about Trump and maga. People like that rep from Tennessee complaining about how Biden took his time with relief efforts just because their governor never asked for it in advance. Get with it Dems. THIS is the election.
Curious but are you up in the mountains or south closer to the river/lakes/cities?Burke
Yeah I am sure that's all Stein has doneI hate to say this; but, bringing a pick-up truck load of bottled water is akin to Trump’s paper towels.
Create a charity. Call up your biggest donors. Ask for $$$ - the amount an 18-wheeler of bottled water would cost - from each one. Show up with 50+ semis full of water.
A pick-up truck?
He knows that but in a digital world, he's got to be seen and heard in the area. Morale building is part of leadership also. I know it's damned close to pandering but it's virtually obligatory.I hate to say this; but, bringing a pick-up truck load of bottled water is akin to Trump’s paper towels.

There isn't much to speak of of 'northern' or 'up the mountains' Burke County, except for Jonas Ridge, which is functionally, and for all practical purposes, Avery County, which got completely clobbered.Curious but are you up in the mountains or south closer to the river/lakes/cities?
Dont want you to get too personal, but I am honestly curious on the destruction different from northern Burke to southern?
It’s a lame photo op.Yeah I am sure that's all Stein has done
I mean there is a northern area...I camp and hike there every year - well between there and western Caldwell. Freedom High School's zone goes all the way up there. Of course, I have always wondered how long it takes those folks to get to school. Sure it's about 20 kids total, but still... (once my HS golf team got stuck behind a school bus up there. - felt that was some really bad luck). Just wondered how the demarcation line went but you did help with your Valdese-west comment, so thank you. There isn't much to speak of of 'northern' or 'up the mountains' Burke County, except for Jonas Ridge, which is functionally, and for all practical purposes, Avery County, which got completely clobbered.
The western half of Burke County from Valdese going west got at least moderately clobbered.
Then going east to Catawba County and Hickory you get to, not unscathed, but not clobbered.
