IC going to On3

Maybe MPAER should stop being so political?

:ROFLMAO:
Yea
But when someone says Roberts is the best Chancellor ever-unless the whole Board is full of morons that shit should not stand alone. In my little mind saying Roberts is the best Chancellor ever is very "political"-not to mention nonsense
blah blah blah MPAER

Not to change subjects but since this thread was bumped it reminded me that I’m waiting for 247 to change hands so that someone will upgrade that god-awful forum software. This forum we are posting on wouldn’t exist without me getting so angry at how bad their software is that I looked into how forum’s work years ago.

I thought when Paramount acquired CBS or whoever is the parent parent company of 247 that things might change but it didn’t. Hopefully something changes in the coming years. IC has the same forum software we do now that they moved over to On3 but at the top is the idiot Shannon Terry who nickels and dimes everything and won’t allow customization and what not.

Paramount/Skydance has gone so heavily into debt to make all of these corporate mergers (they just bought Warner) that it's very unlikely that they'll have the money for investment in internet properties or much else anytime soon. There has been speculation that to survive they may have to sell off or shut down some properties. So I doubt that upgrading 247's software is a high priority for them.

This sounds exactly like how the private equity snotbags operate. Borrow money to buy a company (or companies), then load them up with so much debt they’re sure to fail, all the while said companies are compelled to pay off the “new” shareholders. Wash, rinse, repeat until the company goes belly up. And the private equity folk skip away to their off-shore hidey-hole. Squirrelling away the spoils.
Rather than investing in Paramount/CBS/Sky (or whatever the hell that ungodly amalgamation is called), they’re going to utilize mechanisms that saddle it with so much debt they can’t dig out of it.

Totally fucked up how this situation works out well for the bad guys, but in the end, I hope Paramount/CBS wind up in the shitter… and I don’t really care who puts them there. They’ll get their just desserts.
