Interrupting and blocking a permitted parade isn’t exercising 1st amendment rights. The NY mayor and NYPD believe this as well so no reason to wait until Jan. If they stood on the side of the route and protested then that would have been within their rights…as would be getting a permit and having their own parade. Was there something specific about the parade that they were protesting or were they just trying to steal the national spotlight?

Correct, and those that interrupted the parade were rightly arrested.

My question to you is why post the video without offering some comment on why you are posting it or what your views are? Unless your entire reason for posting it is to show instances of people on the left behaving poorly. Like I said, passive-aggressive trolling.

And to answer your question on if they were trying to steal the spotlight, of course they were. If you are fighting for a cause, doing it in the shadows doesn’t help shed light on it. You do it where people can see you.

Trump just had to mention tariffs on Canada and Mexico and Trudeau was on a plane to Mar Largo to spend the weekend (smiling and laughing) with Trump making promises to secure the northern border. Similarly, Sheinbaum's placed several calls to Trump also pledging Mexico's support on the Border. Two caravans have already been disbursed by the Mexican government.

I will laugh, at you. Sheinbaum has not pledged Mexico's support on the border. She said that she intends to keep Mexican policy steady, the same as it has been for a year. Caravans almost never make it to the US -- it's not two caravans that have been broken up, but rather dozens. That's in part because the "caravans" are just people moving together for safety and company. It's like Canterbury Tales. People come and go.

If the goal of a presidency is to get foreign leaders to rush to your residence begging you not to destroy the world, then I suppose that Trump's tweet was effective. That's all. Canada isn't going to change its policies because of threats. As far as I know, the Canadians are basically resigned to NAFTA being torn to shreds because they anticipate Trump doing his tariff thing no matter what.

Yes, I am sure the people already living in rubble are closely monitoring Trump's social media posts and are now convinced they must free the hostages that many have likely been bombed as well. It totally makes sense.
