the IDF shut down the 299th Druze battalion but they have reformed themselves and have adopted the same designation

Hillary Clinton blames TicTok for Israel's plunging popularity. I think it probably has more to do with the 50,000 civilians that they killed.

Israel really does have a self-inflicted PR nightmare and Hillary Clinton is not the person that's going to turn that around. Israel has gone from 11% of Americans having an unfavorable view of them in 2022 to 53% today. I have to think it's even worse in Europe.

Something wrong with the idea that a meeting of “senior officials” from Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey with the renowned American envoy, Steve Witkoff, will lead to peace in Gaza.

Seems like the Israelis and the Palestinians need to be in any meeting discussing Gaza.

Israel now "owns" 53% of Gaza behind the yellow line. Regardless of whether Gulf Money can be cobbled together for a re-build, life will be increasingly difficult.

“… The presentation is labeled “sensitive but unclassified,” and doesn’t go into details about which countries or companies would fund Gaza’s rebuilding. Nor does it specify where precisely the 2 million displaced Palestinians would live during reconstruction. The U.S. has shown the slides to prospective donor countries, U.S. officials said, including wealthy Gulf kingdoms, Turkey and Egypt.

Some U.S. officials who have reviewed the plan have serious doubts about how realistic it is. They are skeptical that Hamas will agree to disarm in the first place for the plan to take effect—and even then that the U.S. could convince wealthy nations to foot the bill for transforming a dangerous postwar environment into a high-tech cityscape.…”
