It is a weird thing but Trump’s desire for a feather in his own cap/self-glorification may make him better suited to deal with Netanyahu and Hamas (via ME intermediaries) because he doesn’t give a shit about the details or long term outcomes, just getting to claim a win today.
And his complete disinterest in human rights and rule of law makes it easy for him to deal with despicable regional actors on a transactional basis. He and his family are getting rich from the Middle East and he wants to expand that gravy train.
This could all fail spectacularly before or after a deal, but for his own reasons Trump is trying to ride herd to get an agreement inked, not matter the flaws, and worry about the details later.
