The other thing I saw is that conservative Twitter is trying to make it a thing that Tim Walz was supposed to be deployed and he retired or something?

I guess that's their line of attack. Don't know the whole story so probably should wait to comment.
Whole story appears to be that Walz submitted his papers to apply for public office, then retired from the guard to pursue office. His unit received orders to be deployed a couple months after he’d already resigned.

Rs are lying, attempting to make it seem like he retired to get out of deployment.

Given that Vance's military experience consisted almost entirely of working as a military journalist and PR official that's a bold strategy cotton.

It can’t be too much longer before we have to start talking about whether Vance was an even stupider VP choice than Palin, right?
Palin's a high bar. I really didn't want to vote for McCain when he announced her.

Just reading about Vance's response to a question of why someone would want to have a beer with him. Crappy answer he gave. Guess he's like Kavanaugh, he likes to drink beer.

Fun fact - When my father was on the research team in the 1990s that proved that the D.A.R.E of that era wasn’t working, things apparently got heated with McCaffrey. Rolling Stone Magazine fueled the fire by putting out an inflammatory, and often false, article - and it was a shitty couple of years at home. D.A.R.E ended up suing the shit out of Rolling Stone.
