I suspect, when you calculate all the risk values, including being sued if one gets injured or the ramifications of getting caught or any number of factors, the back hoe.
Still need them for close-in 'finishing' work though.

one or two and not twenty. They still have time to clean up the job site and all the things a whole labor crew with foreman would do on larger sites. I started in the business when foundations were pick and shovel work, fork lifts were rare, there were no nail guns or variable speed drills or any of the things I wouldn't want to be without. Saw how things changed dramatically between 74 and 80.

Just when Vance thought it was safe to hide behind Mark Robinson

Yeah, I posted excerpts of that blog in the immigration thread, I think. It was an interesting contrast with who he has become politically but the pompous writing style was already developed.

Guess the dossier on him was leaked? Seems like oppo research at a quick glance.

JD Vance, in 2020 messages, said Trump ‘thoroughly failed to deliver’

In previously undisclosed messages, the future vice-presidential nominee said Trump had not fulfilled his economic agenda and predicted he would lose to Biden.

"... In the direct messages — sent during Trump’s final year in office to an acquaintance over the social media platform then known as Twitter — Vance harshly criticized his future running mate’s record of governance and said Trump had not fulfilled his economic agenda.

... The critical messages, shared with The Post by their recipient on the condition of anonymity because of concerns about retaliation, cast doubt on Vance’s oft-recited account of how and when he embraced Trumpism. They were written years after Vance’s previously reported remarks attacking Trump, such as his statements in 2016 that Trump was “reprehensible,” “cultural heroin” and possibly “America’s Hitler.” ..."

Separately, from what I've read, the (finally) leaked political vetting memo on Vance it mostly notable for all the stuff it missed, not anything the media hasn't already found out anyway. Which raises several possibilities, including that (a) the vetting by Team Trump was as terrible as it appears or (b) it is half-baked, not particularly useful draft that got "hacked" and sent to media and politicians as a sort of trap to see who would take the bait (and nail them for it).

On Saturday the Vance team attempted to film a campaign event inside a restaurant in Pittsburgh without getting prior approval from the restaurant. The manager refused to let them do so, and they had to do the event from the parking lot.

Tom Emmer is getting WORKED on ABC right now. Good lord. If this was a fight it would have been stopped in round one. Martha Raddatz just tossed his cantankerous ass all over the studio.

He flat refused to answer any questions and just attacked Tim Walz the entire time. Even when she pressed.

I think men who wear eye shadow should be . . .. Nah, that's not what I think. If JD Vance , or whatever name he is going by today, wants to be out and proud with eye shadow then it's no skin off my back. Go for it JD.

We really already have this in the form of child tax credits and credits for child care. Vance is advocating an expansion of these benefits for parents/penalties for nonparents but it is in essence the exact same thing.

Congress is a little smarter about how they package it. Higher taxes with a deduction for parents? Who wouldn't vote for that? Lower taxes with a penalty for non parents? This Vance character is a monster. But we could design it where the exact same people pay the exact same tax and the government collects the same revenue no matter which plan we choose.

Maybe it has to do with him saying we should “punish” things we DO NOT LIKE!!! like people without children. Do we really not like people without children? Vance is the one demonizing people.
