I am pretty sure I posted something along these lines right at 4 years ago. I thought if we (Joe Biden) won, we'd be in a different place....more or less OK, sanity restored, all that. But here we are.

Ugh....I don't know what will happen. I want to feel optimistic, but I can't seem to let myself have much sense of confidence. What I can say is that this is so incredibly important, and I appreciate being able to connect with a group of like-minded people online. I don't post a lot here -- I don't feel that I have much to add, most times. But I read most all the significantly updated information and perspectives. There are some genuinely insightful and smart people here, and I appreciate getting to read you commentary.

Thank you to nycfan for being so on top of things. I got on superrific's bad side once, maybe, over something....but his insights and comments on things are basically must-read for me (well, much of it). I miss DANP2311 -- is that the right username? -- very much! But to see donbosco here is pretty terriific! And I've been following Bigs 23 since the THT days, and that's cool.

I'm a nervous wreck over the future of our country. But I do appreciate you folks. Sometimes this group makes me more anxious, sometimes less. Overall, ya'll have helped me hold up.....so far. Thank you!!

I'm going to keep to my routine as much as possible. Since much of that is sitting in front of the computer reading and listening to music while pausing at the end of a chapter, it's not going to be that different from being fixated in front of the screen. I'll still go to the store, get gas, walk through the garden and do everything else like normal. Been through enough bad times to know that if things go to hell today, that's still the best way of coping and recovering. Might as well not be inviting any extra angst until necessary.

Can you really consider yourself a member of this board if you haven't gotten on Super's bad side? Getting Super wound up is a rite of passage. You're in the club now!
Why would that be someone's specific goal? I just assume my general attitude will handle that with most without me having to focus. I hate to focus and really suck at it.
