I compare him to the tasteless crass and crude Al Czervik ( Rodney Dangerfield ) crashing the exclusive Bushwood Country Club and upsetting the elite members in the movie Caddyshack. Not surprising. Considering how he eats, he doesn't even have taste in his mouth.
Not the Al Czervik of the movie, but a sinister Al with no sense of humor.I compare him to the tasteless crass and crude Al Czervik ( Rodney Dangerfield ) crashing the exclusive Bushwood Country Club and upsetting the elite members in the movie Caddyshack.
Come on now folks, we shouldn't be too surprised. After all, not just anyone can bankrupt a casino. That takes some next-level business acumen.
True without the sense of humor but certainly a nouveau riche who is rude, crude, and tasteless like TrumpNot the Al Czervik of the movie, but a sinister Al with no sense of humor.
If Trump was to play anyone in that movie it would be Judge Elihu “Pele” Smails.I compare him to the tasteless crass and crude Al Czervik ( Rodney Dangerfield ) crashing the exclusive Bushwood Country Club and upsetting the elite members in the movie Caddyshack.
Al was funny though, “You buy a hat like this you probably get a free bowl of soup. Oh, it looks good on you though.”I compare him to the tasteless crass and crude Al Czervik ( Rodney Dangerfield ) crashing the exclusive Bushwood Country Club and upsetting the elite members in the movie Caddyshack.
This shouldn’t surprise anyone. We’re talking about a businessman so bad at business that he actually bankrupted a casino.Kennedy Center ticket sales have plummeted since Trump takeover - The Washington Post https://share.google/rsOTggqLWtPWAxQ8r

I know that because I'm just now seeing this as it's been bumped, I'm way late in replying.Wasn't this the goal?
Trump reminds me of Blanche in A Street Car Named Desire... " I've always depended upon the kindness of strangers"This shouldn’t surprise anyone. We’re talking about a businessman so bad at business that he actually bankrupted a casino.
I posted that earlier and agree 100%I know that because I'm just now seeing this as it's been bumped, I'm way late in replying.
I don't think making the Kennedy Center shitty was the goal. I think it was the inevitable result, but not the actual goal.
My take is that we have to remember how much Trump is motivated by the fact that the NYC "cultural elite" rejected him once he came to prominence in the 1980s.
I think that Trump's goal in taking over operations of the Kennedy Center is to force those in the cultural elite to accept him whereas previously they've rejected him.
But what he doesn't get, and almost certainly never will, is that even when he can force himself into the room, those who are legitimately in the spaces he wants to be still recognize him as "nouveau riche" due to the tacky way he comports himself and will simply move to different spaces rather than accept him.
What's happening to the Kennedy Center is essentially the old "idiot gets money and tries to buy his way into society but is still rejected" trope writ large.
(Of course, now putting his name on the building/center is a way of trying create something that will outlast his presidency, although I'm sure it will be changed back as soon as a Dem is in the WH again.)
Indeed you did.I posted that earlier and agree 100%
