10 of the 15 AL teams are under .500 and the A's are at .500.

In contrast, 10 of the NL teams are above .500 with the Phils at .500

Nobody said you couldn’t bum rush the pitcher after that. You don’t need pitchers to bat to throw hands at him.
Baseball fights are such a joke.

Other than Nolan Ryan kicking Robin Ventura's ass, I can't recall many if any other good fights.

Ramirez vs Anderson was also pretty good.

The thing to remember here is that Tom Hamilton is the radio announcer. They are superimposing his radio call over the TV footage. He was describing the action for those who weren't watching the TV coverage.

Looked like Anderson tripped over the base rather than taking a punch from Ramirez.

SF Pitcher Juan Marichal cracking his bat over LA Dodger catcher John Roseboro in a 1965 game has always been one of my favorites, a 14 minute brawl broke out between the 2 teams. Roseboro throwing the pitched ball back to Sandy Koufax just happened to nick Marichal's ear which set off the Dominican Dandy and he took the bat to Roseboro's head for it.

The Braves/Padres brawl in '84 is the all-timer. Multiple bench clearing incidents, fans involved, 17 ejections. It was bonkers
The fans joining in was the icing on the cake. They had to finish the game with the teams in the clubhouse - you came out only to bat.
