Your Royals are on the opposite side of the AL bracket from my Guards. Their path is tough….the Orioles, Yankees, then likely the Guardians or Astros ( I don’t think the Tigers make it to the ALCS) but anybody else can.
Yeah, it's a tough, tough road but hopefully they can get Pasquantino back in the lineup (probably at DH) and get some offense going again. Dude hasn't played a game in a month and is still 11th in the league in RBIs with 97. But he's been taking some batting practice the past week or so and reports were that things were progressing well and he was ahead of schedule of where they thought he'd be. If they can get past the Orioles, I bet he's 100% back for the Yankees series.

I originally preferred to play the Orioles but with the possibility of Houston being without Alvarez, I'm kinda wishing different. But without Pasquantino back, both those teams are probably more than the Royals can handle.

What a wild 8th inning this first game of a doubleheader has been and now a 2 run Homer by NY in the top of the 9th.
WOW

in completely unsurprising news, the M's finished one game out of the playoffs (which seems to be our ceiling).

The Braves not being able to pick up a win today to clinch a playoff spot would be a painful way to cap off a rough weekend for Atlanta/UGA sports fans. At least the Falcons got a dramatic win over the Saints yesterday.

In the past 48 hours, I've now had two teams blow games in which their win probability was 92% or greater late in the game. Why do I even sports anymore.

Not sure that game could have gone any worse for the Braves. SMDH.....
Yep, they were in complete control thru the 7th inning. 3-0
Mets score 6 in the eighth.
Braves score 4 in the bottom of 8th.
Mets score 2 in the 9th.

Exciting game to watch.

Brutal. Taylor's 11 pitch AB to start the 8th was a killer. Got Schwellenbach out of the game and was the beginning of the end.
