I thought about posting this on the Winter Olympics thread, but... nah.
Then thought it should be a Sports-related topic, but... nah.
This is pure T politics. Taken from another source SB Nation:

"There wasn’t much that was normal about Team USA winning gold at the Milan Olympics. It was the first time in over a decade that NHL players competed at the Winter Games, providing the world an opportunity to see how far U.S. hockey had come in development, and how much it had caught up to Canada. That wasn’t normal. The United States beat a loaded Canada team stacked with the world’s best players, primarily by utilizing team play and counter-offense. That wasn’t normal. They partied in the locker room with the director of the FBI after the game, and gleefully giggled at President Trump’s sexist joke. Sadly, that was normal — par for the course for a sport often at odds between the players who compete, and those the NHL is trying to court as fans.
In one fell swoop Team USA managed to alienate a huge portion of the current NHL fanbase in the United States, undermine many of the initiatives the league has been trying to make, and turn off the precise segment of the sports market hockey has been trying so desperately to gain. A potentially legendary bag-fumbling by stars of a sport who have a vested interest in seeing it grow in popularity, increasing reach and revenue in the process.
To be clear: The issue isn’t that Team USA took a celebratory phone call from the President of the United States. That has been happening for decades, and it’s woven into the fabric of the Olympics. Where this all got profoundly bizarre was both the nature of the team’s call with Trump, and their partying with FBI director Kash Patel — who was in the locker room for … reasons?"

Had I known the U.S men's team would be sucking Patel's d**k and laughing at Trump's misogynistic joke over the phone I would have most assuredly been pulling for the Canadians in the Men's Gold Medal round

I am VERY glad I did not know this when I watched the game
When the hero with the busted teeth overdid the "I love my Country" stuff I began to feel it

Same here.

But the same misogynistic sentiments run rampant in the stands and in the locker rooms of: Baseball, Football and Basketball. Hockey isn’t really that much different, but it might be worse in all other aspects of division.

Racism is also found in those sports as well but maybe not so much in NBA.

Maga also permeates the stands in those sports… especially a college football game down south.

It’s not surprising a Lilly-white sport like hockey is all of the above.
Maga, Trumpian, racist and misogynistic full of male chauvinism.

Poor people can't afford to play hockey. They can't afford the equipment, the ice time, the coaching and everything else that goes into making top players. Much the same is true and becoming more so in baseball and tennis. Basketball and basketball lets you do more with less and are more highly subsidized.

The aggression and chauvinism is directed, not just to females, although more common but to any physically inferior.

I love hockey. It's probably my favorite sport to watch. When I'm watching a race or a ballgame, I'm watching with my phone in my hands. When I watch hockey, I WATCH hockey. So Sunday's result was awesome...

The actions of Team USA after the Gold Medal Game were deeply disappointing but hardly surprising. Kudos to Jon Cooper for speaking up.

Unfortunately the MAGA cult is going nowhere soon.

It has certainly created political ripples …

FLASHBACK 2024

Oops

Meh, on Cooper’s “apology”. On the surface it seems sincere and everything, but…

Here he was in a moment which should have been pure joy and celebration for the next month or two… and here he was having to temper that celebration trying to atone for his self-own bull shit.

I’m not giving him credit for the mea culpa.

When did they start having the State of the Union in the White House? I know it will hold all the people who actually like him but...
I assumed he was referring to SOTU. Either way, the only sexual "assault" in the white house happened at the hands of your boy Bubba.

You're actually not faking just how bad your reading comprehension is, are you? I'm almost sorry. Go back and read Don's post you responded to and explain how you got SOTU out of it.

Have the two USA hockey teams been invited to the Whitehouse?
Men first
And then orangeturd said (paraphrase) "Well I guess I better ask the Women also or people will be upset "
Per my girlfriend the Women said
NO
