Alcoholism in this country is about to go up.There is always basketball
But binary politics is reality here on Earth 1. If a third party wants to be viable, it has to start at the ground level and build. You don't get to fail up unless you're trump. At the moment it doesn’t look like Oliver’s 18,000 votes (let alone my single vote) would have swung the NC vote to Kamala. But also my vote isn’t Kamala’s by right. I left the GOP over Trump. I didn’t become a Dem. Binary politics isn’t helpful or ideal.
Sorry. This is how I feel. I’m 43 and I know that for the remainder of my life, this country is fucked.
Don’t worry, prices will sure go down any day now.I agree. It was inflation.
Missouri voted overwhelmingly to raise minimum wage to $13.75/hour in 2025 and $15/hour in 2016 while also voting for the politicians who oppose such an increases. Dems have long favored raising the minimum wage.I think it’s more so that a deciding percentage of the electorate wouldn’t know what fascism was if it walked up and slapped them in the face.
Low info and low propensity voters are voting on ECONOMIC issues. They don’t care about Jan 6th. Is it stupid? Yes. Is it the reality? Clearly so. So Dems need to figure out how to message that isn’t just we aren’t Trump.
*You'reYour not nice
Life is still good. This is how I feel. I’m 43 and I know that for the remainder of my life, this country is fucked.
Half of the people want to act nice and be good Christians while wishing they could get away with acting like Trump.*You're
The American people don't prefer nice...or is it a double standard?
North Carolina was gone years ago.And there goes North Carolina.
Good Christians sure as well aren’t nice.Half of the people want to act nice and be good Christians while wishing they could get away with acting like Trump.
The other side put their whole ass on display, and won anyway. This country is what it is, and no amount of liberal rally cries will change that. I spent 20+ years in uniform for a mirage I thought this country was. I’m truly depressed tonight and it’s not because “liberals” (which I’m not) weren’t fired up enough. 50% of this country just sucks. We can’t afford for liberals to check out. If y’all are serious about the stuff you’ve been saying since Trump came on the scene, now is the time to step up more than anytime prior to now. Not to tune out and give up.
Seems like that reinforces my point.Missouri voted overwhelmingly to raise minimum wage to $13.75/hour in 2025 and $15/hour in 2016 while also voting for the politicians who oppose such an increases. Dems have long favored raising the minimum wage.
What if the people I love are gay or transgendered?Life is still good.
Ignore all political noise and live your best life. Enjoy the things you like. Love the people you love.
It will be okay.
I know, the ones who talk the most about being a good Christian are the biggest hypocrites.Good Christians sure as well aren’t nice.
All I can speak for is me. And the fighting is done for me. Americans can have what they vote for. I'll start to more forcefully encourage my elementary teacher to get away from that lost cause and I'll hope that we can hunker down and hide long enough for our parents to pass away with us still able to care for them. After that, we will move somewhere that's much worse politically but where our money will buy an incredibly comfortable lifestyle without concerning myself with the machinations of American politics. We can’t afford for liberals to check out. If y’all are serious about the stuff you’ve been saying since Trump came on the scene, now is the time to step up more than anytime prior to now. Not to tune out and give up.
That's already started. See school "choice" voucher laws. They should be called "Get-My-White-Babies-Out-Of-Public-Schools-With-Public-Money-And-Whoever-Is-Left-Can-Go-To-Hell" education initiatives. So how soon until the state legislatures get to vote on Jim Crow laws and segregation?
