Glad that you are enjoying yourself.

That does look great.

Don't take this wrong, I'm not saying that you should not have started a thread. Just think that picture belongs in the foodie thread. It will have more longevity.

How was the rest of the mean and the trip? I haven't been to Disney in 15 years.

I've never stayed at the Polynesian Village at Disney and have never dined at Ohana. The last time I went was 2 years ago. We stayed at the Waldorf Astoria just off site and had a wonderful time.

Amazing! You have to ride Tron and Guardians of the Galaxy.

I understand your comment, but didn't the horrific incident you are referencing take place at the Grand Floridian?
The beach at the grand Floridian directly adjacent to the Polynesian. I have a picture of my 3 and 4 yo (at the time) ankle deep playing in that water at the Polynesian beach adjacent to the grand Floridian at dusk just a couple of years before that attack. It terrifies me now every time I look at it.

Ohana is one of the best meals in Disney. Maybe the best. It was way better before all the post covid changes but it still top notch

Oh wow, I’m actually having dinner there on Saturday evening. I’ve never been but my wife says it’s the best restaurant she’s been to at Disney. We’re going to be staying at Pop Century.

I've always wanted to stay at the Polynesian. Just enjoyed the vibe.
It’s amazing. I could go and just hang at the hotel for a couple of days and not even go to the parks or anything.

It was awesome even when I was there for the disastrous Heels day a few years ago where we lost to NC state in football and Iowas State in basketball within 5 minutes of each other.

I was also on vacation with the family that Thanksgiving and vividly remember that sequence where we lost to State in OT right as the basketball team was blowing it against ISU lol. Put a new meaning into “Black Friday”.
