Any effective political ads in your estimation?

I don’t watch a lot of network or broadcast TV and I only listen to NPR on the radio. But I have, from time to time, tuned in to MSNBC on my local NC YouTube affiliate and have noticed a lot of anti Josh Stein ads, mainly saying he’s soft on crime. Mind you, these are not pro Robinson ads so much as anti Stein ads. I’m certainly not saying these are effective, more head scratchers really. Like, how many MSNBC viewers are going to be swayed to vote against Josh? Or is that the take? “Don’t vote for my guy, just vote against this guy”

Any effective political ads on your screen or in your ear?

I’m wondering where Josh Stein’s ads are. Apparently he has outfundraised Robinson but whenever I watch the local news the Robinson ads outnumber the Stein ads like 3:1.

Does the expression, "because you weren't responsible enough to keep your skirt down!" ring a bell?
Yup, that is the only one I have seen. Meanwhile I have seen nonstop videos of that psychotic ass talking about how tough his childhood was, and of a redneck sheriff blaming Stein for the Charlotte shooting.

I can't imagine anything less effective on me than political ads. I don't understand advertisements in the first place. If I could choose anything to not exist in our society aside from things like cancer or world hunger, advertisements would be the first thing on my list.

Someone is going to pull out a study saying otherwise but I have never bought or consumed or otherwise been influenced by an advertisement in my life. Maybe like once. If anything I have been way more turned off by things because their advertisements were stupid or annoying.

Rant over.

But that Snickers ad… man what I wouldn’t give to be able to go to my cabinet, open it and find a snickers bar after one of their ads. That or Reese’s cup. 😎😜🤓

What about the one talking about women shouldn't lead and because men are supposed to lead. And does the fentynal settlement ring any bells.

I’ve seen a LOT of anti-Harris PAC ads on tv in Western NC this weekend.

I live in Georgia, and I've seen a ton of anti-Harris ads. They all say "border czar," dangerously liberal, blah blah blah. Not one ad has any semblance of policy differences. Sometimes, I regret moving back down here. Several folks in my neighborhood have posted on the community Facebook site that their Kamala signs have been stolen from in front of their house.

I've seen a couple different positive Stein ads while watching the Olympics.
yep, i saw several good stein ads today while watching the olympics....and one negative featuring a bunch of immigration propaganda and fear mongering.

I had to check the left to make sure this wasn't a post of mine from earlier.
I agree completely. I can only recall buying something based off of an ad once in my lifetime and I was very disappointed. Disappointed enough I remember it 40+ years later...

I'm in Forsyth County, I will not put a Harris sign in my yard even though I will vote for her.

There's some trump bus that's supposed to be stopping at a local establishment that's about a mile from my house. I so want to drive by with a Fuck Trump sign on the top of my car, but I don't want to risk the consequences.

I did read in the local news that at the last trump rally during his rambling he mentioned the governor negatively. The right is also really giving it to the Lieutenant Governor that has stated that he is voting for Harris.

Wait, Robinson, the NC Lieutenant Governor has publicly stated he is voting Harris, not Trump?

It’s interesting how the Harris campaign has raised some money but you’re not seeing a lot of ads in NC yet, but you’re seeing some anti-Harris (pro-trump ads)

However as stated, I’m not watching a lot of Network/broadcast or cable TV… only some. So I haven’t seen a lot of anything really, just those odd 30 minutes of MSNBC and seeing mainly pro-Robinson/anti-Stein ads
